You are the only on on this thread who knows what your talking about... Here's a screenshot of my site Blog Rate Directory's Google webmasters tools results with close to 70K backlinks... and it's PR4 (although I have 100+ PR4 pages and over 1000 PR2-PR3 pages....
is like one of those program where you exchange links with lots of people for $49 or something. Then I will say about pr2 cause that is what I got lol
Yeah I would definitely avoid that. Google doesn't like it when you show the user something different from what you're showing the bot. The rate at which you get IBLs is also an important factor. You need to show steady organic growth, not sudden surges then nothing. But by all means get a second opinion.
Why do you say that? The strength of links varies enormously. If you had 70k PR9 links, as someone else said, your PR would be 10. It's not about the numbers but the quality. Google's webmaster tools is not a reliable source of backlinks. Plus you're not taking into account your Trust rank which is also affected by who you link to and who links to you.
Google is getting better and better at determining which links actually count so if your links are bad quality, forget about it.
I don't know about cloaking, but I'd say it's not very ethical. I'd try and come up with some other way to get your links on those sites. Make a "widget" that outputs data or something, with a get this "widget" kind of link. The best you'll get is a link back from inside the cms where authors will come to get updates. Be careful
If you do SEO you HAVE to care about PR. It's only been the most important factor in ranking, forever. Just because they only released the information a few years ago doesn't change that, in fact, I bet they wish they hadn't because they've been fighting link spam ever since.
People who don't care about pr then need to stop responding in pr threads, if you didn't care then you would not have read this thread.
Quantity of links does not mean anything it is Quality.....I could have 1 link that came from an authority site with strong trust and have higher PR than thousands of shitty links....Go for quality...No quantity.... Would you rather have thousands of Ford Pinto's or a few hundred Lambo's? Same thing....
Do the links have different C-Class IP addresses? This will play a factor as to what pagerank you get and how your site ranks in the SERPs.
PR does not mean anything. I have PR1 sites out ranking 6 year old PR5 sites. Means nothing unless you are selling links to people dumb enough to pay extra for high PR.
boogalooDude Learn seo first and then we can discuss PR is just a NUMBER NOTHING MORE Why i say this in threads about PR maybe this way people will learn this and not so many crap threads about wath pr or i need PR 5 when all that mathers are RANKINGS and that has no conecion with PR High PR doesn't mean good rankings Good rankings could mean high pr but is not necesary like WunschShrek and he gave the best exemple I know wath i'm talking about since i'm doing this for like 4 years and i'm earning this way my money (a lot compared to people who have jobs ....) I just want to make people who have wrong ideas like this to get on the right way but it seams they are to blind ...
Thats just rubbish, and shows how little you know about SEO - and also the primary reason people are fooled into paying rediculous prices for links from high PR sites which can do absolutely nothing for your rankings. Quality in context links from quality sites is what you need if you are bothered about SEO. It amazes me how many think they know something about SEO, and just bang on about PR ........... Don't you read any proper SEO information? Another thing that shows ignorance is even asking the question of how much PR 70,000 backlinks will get you, as it shows how little you know about how PR works. I got a PR5 site with 1 backlink - I also know why I got a PR5 because I know how the PR alogrithm works. These PR questions are extreamly tiresome and just show total SEO ignorance: PR = Nothing SERPS = Everything
