I think 7 is going to better than XP as they might even decide to stop free support for XP. Sooner or later your going to have to change to a new operating system like Windows 7 ;) I'm using XP right now but as soon as 7 is out for full release then i'm getting it ;) Hopefull it doesn't fail as much as XP.

I vote for XP and when Window 7 is full released, I will go for the best one.

RC is now imminent too isn't it? I read MS want beta testers to clean install it or upgrade from a Vista image.

I have been using Windows 7 for a long time now. In my opinion Seven beats Vista but XP beats Seven ;).

I'll definately try 7, but I never gonna buy or install it for good, b/c M$ really pissed me off - what they call Win 7 should be released as Service Pack for Vista ! I mean, they just polished Vista a little, added some more flashy effects and boom - another 10 versions of the same OS, each one more expensive than the other...

7 after using it so long, I'm to comfortable with it, that using anything else feels unnatural.

At first I agreed with you milo, although I hope that when it comes to the final release of Windows 7 there is a secret something that packs a punch. The improved startup and shutdown times seem to be accepted as a success, but isn't this just something for a Vista SP, likewise with the taskbar? Aesthetically it deserves to be a SP but I believe that there is and will be more big performance and "behind the scenes" improvements.

I think Vista is the brightness future. Vista supoort 64 bits and it will take the place of XP soon
