Local hosting is no better then hosting anywhere else. If anything, it's usually cheaper buying non-local because of the fact non-local hosting companies are bigger and in my opinion have more experience.

This topic it is about my opinion and the 7 Tips above , not the backbone nets and their traffic and our previous experience , if you like them or not ,it is your problem not mine , some forumers found them useful some other not. so if you do not like them then start your own topic and post your tips from 25 years of experience there , i believe and the 7 of them .I will not continue the flame with you Have a nice day Mr SmallPotatoes

 

Yes you are right the 7 tips creates a lot of flames , I am apologise and i will try to analise more and i want your opinion on that .

7. SEO Friendly - Yes, the quality of web hosting is also affecting the SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Unfortunately, it is very difficult to prove that their web hosting is SEO friendly. Here is a tip : try go to search engines like Yahoo, MSN or Google, searching "web hosting in Malaysia" ( Replace Malaysia if the hosting company is in other country) , If you can find the provider website, it mean this web hosting company is SEO frienly.


The point of view in the tip above is , when a hoster has in one server, or Vps (probably with a small range of Ips 2 -4) a lot of websites and some of the website owners for example spam everyone with emails OR the same company use the particular server to spam then the range of Ips will be blacklisted.

I made this observation 1 year ago and i made the following experiment:

I took a brand new server with a block of 8 Ip addresses , i bought 20 .com domains and I hosted and the 19 domain names in this server and the last one was the "main server domain name " and i gave as name servers the name of this last domain name . I create with few words a "small web hosting company" if this make sense to you. Afterwards i create 20 different blogs ,and i wrote articles , i did not copy them from other sources and i used some strange keywords and strange key phrases . Why i used strange key phrases , because i would the key phrase combination to be in the first google pages for the reasons of this experiment and i did want look 10 -20 google pages until i found the domain names and their articles .

so after this i left the server as is and i wait a couple of weeks the crawl to do the job. All he pages ranked and crawled after some weeks from google spiders.
After this i search for the position in google for each domain name and i took notes for each one like ,position on google,traffic rank and etc .


The main experiment starts now - phase one
I start to send a lot of emails (to my prive email addresses) until the first pear of ip blacklisted ( i gave one pear of ip in one domain name in the server).When this pair of Ip and the domain black listed completely after one week the particular domain name and general the website of this domain name , it is removed from the first google pages , from the second page which was, it jumps to the page 19 !


The main experiment phase two
I start to send a lot of emails (to my prive email addresses) until the first pear of ip blacklisted ( i gave one pear of ip in TWO domain names in the server).When this block and the TWO domains black listed after one week, the particular domain name and general the website of this domain name , it is totally hidden also from the google pages , from the first page which was both of this domain names it jumps to the page 23 !


The main experiment Last phase
I start to send a lot of emails (to my prive email addresses) from the last Main domain name which was also and the NS of this server When this block and the domain name black listed after one week the particular domain name and general the website of this domain name , it is totally ripped off and disappeared also from the google pages , from the second page which was both of this domain names they were disappeared completely from google , and guess what ... also they were disappeared and all the other 19 domain names from google !!!!!

The result of this experiment was , if the main domain name in the server(working also as the main ns of this server) spamming or uses bad ways of promotion (emails, black hat SEO and etc )will cause ranking problems problems to the other websites in the server
