Hello to every one! I am going to build a website called Nintendo World. I already have the domain and would very much like to have a nice logo to start with. I will pay $7 to the greatest logo that a DP member can create for this concept. Be creative! I will not restrict you with color schemes or font styles, be as imaginative as you can. It would be very nice to have one or some of the usual nintendo characters. Thank you! I am looking forward to the entries. I will provide feedback for all of you! Good luck!
If anyone is working on this, I would very much appreciate it if he could post here saying that it is being worked on. Cheers.
Azakers: Wow, I love it, it looks really good. Would it be possible to modify the planet so that it looks clear? I notice the present one shows some clouds, if it could be clearer it would be excellent. Great job! themtkid: Thanks a lot for your entry, im looking for something a little bit more elaborate, like azakers example. Ok, looking forward to Azakers modification.
Xangular, I was thinking about that, although I wouldnt know how to determine when there might be a copyright infringement.
ask him where he got the characters, if he made the group and did it all himself, then you are all good, if not make sure the image is not copyrighted..
The nintendo logo is similar but not the same, I see he used all caps, the original nintendo logo is not, it is Nintendo, he used NINTENDO. I suppose that the fact that it has at least that difference frees us from copyright infringement. I suppose that he aligned the characters in an original order, we will have to wait and see what he says. I really hope its ok with copyright because I like it a lot.
Here is a revision with a clearer image of the Earth. Regarding copyrights, etc - As long as the image is to be used at a fansite of some sort it shouldn't be a problem - I have several fansites that use images from games and even use the exact company logo through-out the sites. Brand managers protect their brand by going after detractors and knock-off sites. They aren't very likely to harass fans and the websites that encourage them to buy their product. (although it's not unheard of ) Where people usually get into trouble is... A) leveraging the brand to indicate you have an association to 'Nintendo' or that you are in some way officially affiliated with 'Nintendo' B) negative content - brand managers aren't likely to take too kindly to their characters and logo knock-off being used on a site that slams Nintendo in some way. Now that's just been my experience and it's NOT legal advice. If you are concerned with it post your admin email clearly in the websites footer and watch your email in-box for 'cease & disist orders' - although I doubt you'll ever need to worry about that
Wow, excellent answer Azakers, and btw, the logo is now perfect. Please consider this thread closed, I will now pay Azakers for his very nice logo and will probably offer him more deals for my website. Thanks a lot to everyone who participated!!
