7 Google Projects Shut Down

    Since Larry Page took the reins of Google in April, he has been shutting down superfluous projects.

    Here are seven Google projects that have been shut down in the last four months.

    1. The Google Friends Newsletter

    2. A Whole Lot of APIs (eg, Google Translate, Code Search API, Diacritize API, Feedburner APIs, Finance API, Power Meter API, Sidewiki API, and the Wave API.)

    3. The Firefox Toolbar

    4. The Google Directory

    5. Google Health

    6. Google PowerMeter

    7. Google Labs
