So I figured since I am relatively new here as a member, i'd get everyone involved in a little contest!

This contest is for those of you who excel in IT, specifically networking! Answer the following questions correctly, you'll win 7 free domains! Please explain your answers in detail, not simple yes/no to be considered.

First person to respond with the winning answers, gets the domain.

The domains are not new, they is a surprise, but hey they are free!

    1) Is the ‘nice’ command useful on a multi-CPU UNIX system?
    2) What does the ‘NT’ in ‘Windows NT’ stand for?
    3) Is standard e-mail transfer secure? Why not? How would you make it secure?
    4) What is the major effect on routing of configuring your routers with the ‘no ip classless’ command?
    5) How does Windows know what DLLs are installed?
    6) Would you run the ‘identd’ daemon on UNIX servers? Explain.
    7) How would you advertise IGP routes into an EGP: by redistributing routes from IGP to EGP or via static network statements? Explain.

Best of luck to everyone! And try to keep away from cookie-cutter Google answers, i've seen em all! And once this contest is over, we can give each other positive Itrader.

    Hey.. :)
Here's the right answers for you.

    1) Depends if your computer can handle running on a lower prioraty, but if it could, it is. But it could give some process higher prioraty.
    2) It stands for New Technology.
    3) Hmm? There are different kinds of e-mail programs, but if we take Outlook and Hotmail for example, yes, they are pretty secure, there are ofcourse some small glitches, but not any major that could inflict anything almost noticable, they are all taken care off(ofc. there are but.). There's a lot of spams and most viruses are built for Outlook, people open mails, sites and even attachments, from people they never heard of before, or it could even be from their friend, even though the friend has no idea it was send. But it's up to the user if it's safe or not, wether he want to sign up on each site with newsletter, register etc. Adding PGP would make it safer, else I think they are pretty secure, they got antivirus built-in.
    4) Then you wouldn't be able to use Subnets..
    5) They are listed in the registry (regedit).
    6) I wouldn't use it, I consider it dangerous to use for hacking attempts, etc.
    7) I applied this to advertise my cisco from IGP into EGP.
    Router1 IGP <--> Router2 IGP, EGP <--> Router3 EGP
