So I was thinking it may be possible, if your comment is dofollow and you post it before Technorati is pinged..just a guess though.

 

Well, Yan has a few hundred blog reactions. I did a glance through them and all I found were actual post links and the TC link on the homepage of course. In the case of the TC, quite a few of them actually had him in their blogroll anyway -- so he had two links on the homepage.

As for pinging Technorati after a comment, probably will not happen. I think most blogs ping Pingomatic when they publish the post, and that is that. Everyone and their dog knows.

 

To increase traffic is not that difficult as compared to increase PR. You can write post to forum or use social bookmarking sites to get more traffics, but for high PR, you will need to wait a few months till google update the toolbar value, about 3 months.

 

And what does that have to do with raising your Authority at Technorati exactly?

 

I understand that most blogs ping automatically, but sometimes Technorati doesn't visit the blog straight away.

 

I think it is just the homepage that gets indexed in this manner. But I may be mistaken.

Either way ... let's see if Technorati will answer that question.

I did ask about the TC plugin, which could be confused with a blogroll, and whether that should be counting as well. Since the proximity of both lists are close to each other, it is possible that they cannot tell them apart.

 

Thanks for clearing that up Dodger, I can understand why they get blog roll/ TC plug-in confused.

 

Another question, what if the blogroll or post links are nofollow. Do you think they will still count them?

 

I'm pretty certain when I say they don't count nofollow links.

Of course, he/she did not answer the question about the TC plugin. So I reasked and threw in the question about nofollow as well.

 

Ah right, I wasn't even aware they have a support forum till you pointed it out!

 

A lot of people use that forum mostly for their listings not updating, even after doing manual pings. This has been a problem going on for quite a while (years) and once you tell them about it, they can manually update it on their end.

 

Ah. I think I remember when CopyBlogger just disappeared completely.
