Oh, thats right if MS wont let you read the file it'll be hard to recover anything. Just remebered when I read about your problems that I added a few OE recovery programs to my directory and thought you might be helped by them. I seem to remeber adding some backup programs that might help you in the future ;) :D

    Outlook corruption fix.

I have had outlook databases become corrupt many times. I have found an easy way to fix it, at least for the corruption I recieve if it's the same as you are getting I do not know however it works every time.

Solution, simply transfer the folder to another computer via network then transfer it back. I don't know why but this has always fixed it for me :) I found it out by mistake when one of my main systems had it's outlook db's corrupted, figured it was worth a shot loading on different puter. Other puter didn't load them so I sent them back to original and wham they worked!

I tried that too hrblcantra but windows is being stubborn and didnt let me copy file either but it is happily allowing me to delete the file.
    WTF!!!
You wont believe i even tried to open the file in excel to recover some important mails. but dint help.
Now I learn why constant back is necessary. so i have installed thinderbird and a backup manager which takes daily backup of all the mails for me..
