Yesterday I purchased their Unmanaged Linux VPS 1 plan and this is my review. VPS was settled up instantly once payment was cleared. During the check-out step, I received a phone call from their automated system giving a PIN that I had to digit in order to confirm the purchase. I added a couple of websites for testing purposes and I have to say that they load pretty quickly. Setup was really easy even without Cpanel: in fact there are Kloxo and Webmin available, two free control panel alternatives that you can install and start to use within 5 minutes. Keep in mind that Vps is FULLY unmanaged so, if you have problems with your sites or scripts etc. you won't never get support. I think that if you don't need Cpanel/WHM and are looking for a good alternative to shared hosting, you should try DME even because of their affordable rates.

kampreto: The price is locked in as long as you pay your bills each month. These are unmanaged, you'll have to setup your firewall. We do not allow warez linking if you do not have permission to the copyrighted material. Linking to MP3 downloads can and is usually illegal. You should look at the websites agreements to be sure.

HostMDS: You can't get a dedicated server for $7.99/mo anywhere. Not sure why you are advertising scams in my thread..

catding: There is a huge issue with PayPal's IPN service, we are contacting them in hopes to get this fix so that clients don't have to wait for PayPal to clear their payment with our system and it can be done instantly so the VPS's will be delivered instantly.

sakto: You can install one of the free control panels and look at the documentation to figure that out. It's pretty easy if you are used to control panels. But these are unmanaged VPS's, setting up your website will be your responsibility.

gary4gar: Most likely it's a typo, if it isn't a typo then it's a scam as it isn't possible to cover any dedicated server for $7.99. That will not cover the cost of electricity, techs, network gear, bandwidth, building costs, and other misc operational costs.

cyberfrogz: Proxy websites will be fine. But rapidleech websites that offer download links to copyrighted programs, games, mp3's, etc is not allowed and will warrant for termination.

 

I just bought a VPS1, so far so good. Will wait and see later because just only 1 day. I also have a VPS with hostlatch, first few days fast but slow after weeks and now 2 days already all my sites are down, they say they are moving to faster server.
I will upgrade my VPS on DME if the server still remain good speed like this

 

It is only affecting one node, we are moving one server node over to a new server in Florida, Tampa located in the Hivelocity datacenter. Don't worry, you will be credited with a free week because of this... plus you will see improvement on the server performance.

It is not allowed since it's highly associated with illegal file distribution. Unless it's used for legitimate purposes, then it's not allowed.

The promotion code will only be available for the next 40 users, once it's up we will not be running this promotion again and the VPS's will be at their normal prices.

Absolutely no torrent or any peer-to-peer programs are allowed. Doesn't matter if it's for private or public use, you will be terminated.

Proxy websites are ok, but we may have to throttle your VPS CPU usage if it sustains high amounts.

You have to contact the billing department if that happens for them to manually pass your order.
