6th ranking front page of Google = 0 visitors?

I rank 6th on Google for search phrases that "Inventory.Overture.com" says gets 300k a month.

    Yet, I get 0 visitors!

Anyone else had this experience? It's weird because I have other sites that rank well but have very low search numbers, and they get at least 50-100 visitors a day! It ain't right!

It's the search keywords that Inventory.overture claims to get 300k/month

No, I'm sorry - those aren't the keywords. I was saying "inventory.overture" put my keywords at 300k!

Check the keyword with our tools, if it shows the same, then post your keyword here (if you want)

    It's google.com !

There is no way I could ever get first. I've basically taken VERY established brand and put it with a city for my keywords. The keywords, like I've said were getting 300k/month searches by Overtures records.

Hard to get people to your site if they are looking for overture why would they go down to 6th spot when they get it on first click.

Try different keywords. Think of it this way. If you wanted to go to amazon would you go past the link for amazon and click another site that says it has amazon on it.

    you mean like "microsoft redmond"

Maybe the tool is testing for "microsoft" OR "redmond". Then every search on microsoft or redmond is counted.

Instead of testing it on "microsoft redmond"

Are you sure the spelling is exactly the same. May be the spelling of the word and the word youa re searching in Overture is slightly different. Even if its only a single letter, it could make theowrld of difference.

    Spelling IS exactly the same.

My keywords are something like "Kenmore Los Angeles"

Google has a few links above on where to buy, then my link. I guess people just have no need for my link at the 6th ranking. I wouldn't have expected that.

I've seen the same. I was number 6-7 for a keyword for ages and got almost no visitors. Now I'm number 1 and get lots of visitors.

It depends how relevant the links above you are, but getting in the top 1-3 results makes a very big difference.

if you havent used it already that is!

anyways find ones that get searched more or just pick some alternates if what your doing isnt working
