    Wow!

What did just happen? I clicked on Validate/Calculate Weight Now link and voilla - I now have weight of 770 instead of 6874. What's going on? How can there be such a sharp decrease (provided nothing changed on my site, ads are running on the same number of pages)?

Maybe Google dumped a lot of pages from their index?

That would be a bummer, but no, G just added 5,000 - some pages today as compared to yesterday . Honestly, I have no way to tell how many of those added are running COOP ads (I'm running them on a part of the site only), but I would say that at least a 1000 new pages with COOP should have been included.

The api results have been fluxing a lot lately - hang in there and things should stablize.

Thanks for the insight. I admit, I did not realize there is a whole separate forum for weight calculation. Should have posted there.

This was (is) a fluke. Went back ten minutes later and re-validated to 6856.

This brings is a question for seasoned COOP users:

What number COOP system uses when deciding on the amount of impressions for my ad? The one I left after re-validating in my account's control panel or some auto-validation figure?

If it's automatic, then chances are you are going to to loose quite some impressions if the system revalidates when Google is shakey.
