Even more DC's are affected now -- including the DC that serves the Google API. So... the DigitalPoint Keyword Tracker now shows your new SERPS.
Of course. Google would NEVER use this valuable data to help rank the site... That'd just be wrong... [tic] -- Derek
Yes the tracker shows new SERPS, but they are not from the DCs that are showing the J3 results. Unless it is still flux, b/c the results are not matching either set of DCs for me.
I don't know, I think I see 3 sets of results, see this post: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=448971&postcount=31
yup - I see sets of results also. The results from 66.102.9.104 seem to be the ones that are spreading and holding position.
Thanks sGroup. I am not so sure about the serps sticking, though. This appears to be symptoms of a rollback: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=449670&postcount=448 All for naught? Google is FUBAR.
Well my one page is taking a real beating right now. This morning there are some Datacenters showing Backlink results from pre October 20th! Last look showed these six Datacenters 64.233.171.* and 64.233.185.* returning the OLD backlink results. _________________ This morning my site dropped into the hundreds on all Datacenters Postion #331 allinanchor: #84 -11/22/2005 10 DCs #132, 4 DCs #339, 3 DCs #422, 10 DCs #461, 2 DCs #483, 4 DCs #484 Allinanchor #27 on 10 DCs, #85 on 4 DCs, #102 on 19 DCs Still Google is reporting an old "Phantom" Cache Date: Nov 09, 2005 08:11:11 GMT it been stuck there for 10 days now. I am seeing 3 different sets of result being returned across the datacenters. Caryl
I am seeing old results now for quite a few keyword phrases and have lost some ground for some words, what the heck is going on?
Looks like I am one of the lucky ones, i have gain a lot of ground (better then before J1). With the results of J3. My site focus is only city wide (indianapolis) so there is not to much compeition for my keywords.
Good one Derek... Hope no one is surprised that any data entered on any site is available to sell, rent or propogate freely by the host site unless privacy terms prohibit it specifically. (even then...) After all isn't internet commerce primaily about selling information..?
No - it is not safe to say that - it is STILL going on, see http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum30/32129-9-10.htm
Yeah I agree - There are about 3 DC's that have different results for a few of the KW's that we watch.
Caryl, Couple things. It's interesting that you think you need to pay to read that. I thought the very same thing. but then I looked again and realized you don't. It's free to sign up and read and contribute to the forum. It is a good example of how bad design and usabilty actually can actually have a negative effect on you. Anyhoo, you are not missing too much, bu there are some decent things in there. Also, what are your thoughts on the current state of affairs, dc's and jagger?
