Wow that is a huge list. Never knew so many free directories existed. Thanks for sharing.

A lot of dir is unpopular

 

there are lots of duplicate directories in the list I think I need to spend sometime filter those out. thanks for the list anyway.

That isnt a free directory, I know because someone decided to use my details to buy 2 links on that site.

I would suggest you check all directory lists you obtain for PR and Alexa.

I, personally, never submit to any directory unless it is at least PR3 AND within Alexa Top 300,000

Let me put it this way: you will struggle to get any PR juice from free directories because the category pages are PR n/a, so, if you submit to a directory that has a good traffic, you at least stand a chance of being noticed by webmasters of your niche and some odd visitor or two passing by (come on, does your aunt Jenny or uncle Ebeneezer visit directories to look for stuff?)

Thanks for the sharing the great list. But I am looking some business directories, they all are paid and reciprocal only.

You all know that 1way link from a niche directories is how much valuable if it is free.........

 

I just checked a few, and some are no longer free.
