Hey guys, In google, I have about ~850 search queries that I am indexed in. Everyday I get around ~6500 Impressions but only 600 clicks. In almost all of my search queries I am ranked 9.5/10 and I always end up on the second page. How can I get that extra boos I need to get in the top 3 for these search queries?
It's difficult to know without examining your on-site SEO and link profile. Perhaps you could provide a URL? You most likely need to build more links to your site but also make sure your anchor text is not too biased toward your keywords. Many site owners still can't resist throwing their top keywords in as anchor text and once you get up over 20-30% it becomes obvious that you're targeting and your rankings suffer as a result. View your site on Majestic SEO. Try to get your 'external backlink' to 'referring domain' ratio as low as possible. In other words try and get lots of different domains linking to yours, not just lots of backlinks from a very small number of sites. Citation and trust flow should ideally be over 20 and be similar in value - get links from as many high quality places as you can, this is fairly obvious. Scroll down and take a look at the pie chart on the right. You want your brand name to have a bigger piece of the pie than any other single anchor text. Ideally most instances of anchor text will be less that 5-10%. Keep at it, work smart, and work hard and it'll pay off in the end
