LOGO: http://img189.imageshack.us/img189/7868/ccs3300dpi.jpg I have multiple formats of the logo available upon request. Here is a link to a transparent .png version http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/8827/ccs3.png
Hi, I will enter but was wondering if you could provide me with a few more things: Do you have a version of the logo in .png format with a transparent background? What links would they like in the navigation? What content will go on the homepage? You just say 'content containers', could you be a bit more specific as to what each 'container' will hold? Can you provide a few links to competitors or sites they like to get an overall feel what they offer/like?
The competing sites are not of the calibre my client needs. They are very unsophisticated in their use of design mostly showing pictures of the principles and ignoring the purpose of the business. Feel free to get ideas from google images using the key words provided in my initial post. The look and feel of the site should be serious and professional. The intended audience is lawyers. My client wants the site to help to convince them that their services are the ones that should be engaged as professional witnesses dealing with computers. I and my client realize that most of that will fall to the content but we want to be sure that the design moves the viewers in that direction even before reading any content. Thanks Lee
Feedback to post #5 ardianet Thanks for starting this contest. You are definately going in the right direction with the types of images you selected. I would not like to include the books and gavel. The picture of the witness is very common an so I would not like to use it. Maybe an empty witness box or one that does not have the face of the witness. The other two are much closer to what is needed. the one with the magnifying glass is the best. The most important problem with your design is that you have put these images in the content portion of the page. You have also put a paragraph in the header. The header needs to be more of a unifying image as it will be used on all pages on the site so text should be kept to a minimum. A contact us button is probably not appropriate for the audience of lawyers. One of the pages on the site will be for providing contact information. Hours of operation will also not need to be provided as it will be a 7 X 24 operation, at least for contacting purposes. Please try again you are mostly on the right track. Thanks Lee
@L-Bond thanks for the feedback. Well, I just try to 'design' on what you told on post#1 & #3. OK, wait for my revision. Thanks.
Feedback to post #8 natali77 Thanks for your entry. The key words are in the content area but not in the header. We would prefer that images that showed one or more of those key words be placed in the header. Text is not out of the question but images have so much more power. Buttons like the "learn more" is not likely to convey the professional image required for this site. A laptop is fine for an image but it should be used in such a way that shows that the company investigates and testifies. Please try again Thanks Lee
Feedback to post #9 mtbwm This is so close. The color is very good. Your image has elements of both computer and investigation. I am wondering about a raised right hand from wrist to finger tips and/or a magnifying glass. Could one or the other or both be superimposed into one or more of the pictures in the graphic you created. Also The graphic might have to be narrower but put it on the same line as the logo or maybe the logo could sit on top of part of the graphic???? Thanks Lee
Feedback to post #11 sairos Your design seems to miss the point of the company. The picture shows a computer/network problem. This company does not solve computer problems they tesify to technical issues in court cases. This company does not solve problems as your question asks and provide the solution your statement makes with the header text. This company needs to bee seen as knowledgeable, thorough, experienced, credible and convincing in court. Please try again. Thanks Lee
Lee, adding a magnifying glass is no problem. Logo won't be able to sit on top of the graphic unfortunately. Any other requests?
Maybe the graphic can fade into the logo? What about the up raised hand? It should be palm to the viewer. Both should look like they are as much of the picture as possible. Thanks Lee
http://i52.tinypic.com/16gzsps.png - I've switched the nav and the graphic around, is that any better?
Feedback to post #17 mtbwm It seems like there is a lot of wasted space next to the logo. The fleash color in the hand breaks the blue and white image effect. I also think the upraised hand would be very important to my client. see google search - raised "right hand" top left photo Thanks Lee
Sorry Lee, I had hidden the search box. Added the raised hand. Good call on the flesh colour, blended it more. http://i54.tinypic.com/wqvi9f.png
