@a4hire: I really like how you added the icons into the boxes. In fact, the client is going to require who ever wins the contest to use a beehive to represent the community. Honestly, the only weak area of your design is the header. It doesn't seem to flow with the rest of the design. I will be posting the client's feedback shortly which may help out more. P.S. I also love your footer!

@bizzard: Nice way to incorporate the photos. I would try to use another photo for community, since it doesn't match the other two photos. The client has some more feedback that may help. I will post it shortly. ~Paul

"Paul,

I think I confused the designers more than helped so if you could pass this on I would appreciate it. I feel we are getting ever closer to the right design.

However, there are a few things I am noticing with the latest designs. First, I feel the designs are too heavy on orange. I know we have orange and blue in the logo but I would like to have more blue than orange (but I do still want orange in the design). I was looking at your website portfolio and came across 0ptimization.com. I really, really, really like this design!

- I like how the blue bleeds through the background and the body of the website.
- I like how the three boxes use a gradient.
- I think LDSFriends would need a touch more of orange but not too much.
- Also, when I looked at this site I noticed that we forgot the search bar. Please have the designers add this.

I finally have come up with exactly what images I want in the three boxes.

- First, for the Bloggers box I want to have a picture of a journal. We Mormons are big on journal writing and genealogy.
- I want the Community box to be the second box and thanks to a4hire we have to use a beehive (I am even thinking of calling this section of the website "The Beehive").
- Finally, I want the third box to be Beliefs instead of Readers. I want to use a picture of the Salt Lake Temple for this section.

I am sorry that I haven't been more clear, but hopefully this will help you and the designers find the perfect look for us."

WINNERS ANNOUNCED!

WOW! By far, I have to say this is the longest and hardest contest I have hosted to date. I sincerely appreciate all those who stuck with me to the end. It really took great patience and dedication on everyone's part as the client worked to find exactly what she wanted. This being said, it took some time to decide which design we liked the most. We narrowed our choices down to bizzard's and shinan's designs. Both did a good job of hitting the mark on exactly what the client was looking for. We actually spent hours going back and forth on who should be the winner. In the end we decided to have both bizzard's and shinan's design be the winning design. We will award both artists $65 each. It really only seemed fair since it was these designers who didn't give up on us. We are still unsure what design will be used for the website but at least the client has great options. ~Paul
