$65 One page design contest online education website (uncoded - 48 hours)

Hi everyone! I'm holding an uncoded web design contest for my site anyonlinedegrees.com. The following key points should be incorporated into your design:

• The header should be very large, ( at least H = 721px) similar to www.findonlinecolleges.net.
• A widget should be included in the header: this widget should be of similar size as the widget at www.findonlinecolleges.net.
• www.findonlinecolleges.net is not my site, and thus pictures, symbols, and exact designs from that page should not be used in my design
• A sidebar with links should be included, along with a top bar with navigation links as part of the header, as with www.findonlinecolleges.net

Please submit all questions and submissions through the thread, rather than sending me a PM. That way I don't have to repeat myself, and the whole general contest can benefit from your mad skills and creativity.

I can't seem to find/see the 'widget' you mentioned on your post -- at least not on the header!

@matttung: The widget that I'm referring to is the "quick degree finder" widget (on the right side of the header) in which a visitor enters his information, clicks go, and is led to an online form.

@Relwan: Use whatever colors you'd like, but they should align well with the logo, which is given in the original post.

@vaibhavmeswani: Thanks for the entry! I like the picture of the people in the first entry and the color scheme of the second entry. However, the top banner, widget, and layout are too much a copy of the reference site. Please submit something a little more original.

@good designer: (nice name, by the way ) The client likes the first banner, the one with the gold colors. She doesn't want the search bar above the picture (or anywhere in the header, in fact). In addition, she was wondering if you could adapt the look of the widget so that it matches the logo, and take out the graduation hat. The header should take up the entire upper page, so that the content can't be seen unless you scroll down. Also, for the banner across the picture, she would like it to say "Find the degree that fits you best!" Instead of the current "Find the best education deals!!" She likes what you've done so far, though!

@vaibhavmeswani: Nice submission! I like it. The client really likes the changes to the header, (although quick in the widget is spelled wrong). She also really likes the logo in the bottom half of the page, as well as at the top. She likes the side bar on the left, though she doesn't like brown, and another color might be more to her liking. She felt like the top was a little bare; could you put a banner that says "Find the degree that fits you best!" to the right of the logo, just to see how it looks? Finally, the she felt like the side bar at the right made things look too busy, and would like that removed. Thanks again for your hard work on this one! It's nice.

 

@CGdesigns: Wow, nice design! I like the crown up above the navigational top buttons! The client doesn't like the look of the widget, and she was wondering if you could alter the look, (not have the two sheets of paper look) and move it slightly to the right so it's not cutting off the last guys face. The colors are nice, and she wondered if instead of crowns in the bottom blue colored bar, you could use the website logo there somehow. Thanks!
