I dont get it. Why do some websites get higher ranking than others in a search. Is it because the keywords searched appear the most times on the page?

 

There are sooooooooo many reasons why. Trying to list them all, or explain them all in one thread is nearly impossible. I recommend reading the SEO forum for the answers.

In a nutshell, it's a combination of backlinks, SEOing, blind luck, and a lot of skill. Or you could just wait 3 years like I did with one site and then, voila, one day I'm suddenly at the very top of the SERPs without doing anything.

But as I said, wrong forum and try not to use question marks next time to title a thread.

 

wow bad thread title, but everyone is a sinner now and then . You can read days and days about this topic m8, it takes most of us months if not years to figure it all out and get our asses up in the ranking.
