I think it is normal. It depends on the number of clicks you receive. You can have 10k visitors per day and have 0 click on your ads...
I guess Your site is not a content based site, adsense will come with low CPC ads for non content site. Also 600 uniques is low traffic. You should improve to around 10,000 and You can review again. Also where all your traffic from? Is It US/UK/CA?
This is why I stopped using adsense. You worked your a$$ off to increase your traffic and still you will not feel that your income is also increasing and sometimes there's no income at all. Bad
Well looks like we are showing our true colors in this thread. If you don't have anything nice to say then just don't say it. Capice? @OP: I think you need to do something about your layout especially on the home page. Put also a description whats the blog is all about. Looking at your home page, I don't have any idea what's the site is all about...and I will leave in 3 secs flat without clicking on anything.
Look, if you don't get legit traffic. Like many times you get visitors but bounce rate is high, they don't even stay on page for 10 seconds then it is equivalent to no visit. You should install analytics and find out what they do on your site and for how much time they browse your site. May be the converting traffic is very low.
I like the concept of your site. Might I suggest that you not make the adsense ads the main feature of your site?.. It ruins what could be a really cool site in my opinion. Hype your site and your work. Not someone elses work. Perhaps All of the text down beneath the map should be moved above the map and punctuated? Rate Your Community! View the Top Rated Communities in the U.S.! Hype the features and build your site..........then the traffic and clicks will come I believe. Do you use Google Analytics? You say that you are getting 600 uv per day? I see much less than that....at least for the U.S. It's your site but I think you are doing things a bit ass backwards....and this is common with newer sites so please take no offense. But what if you considered your business/website as being the one that was doing advertisers a favor by letting them advertise on your site? How would you feel about your site then? You wouldn't let them have the main area of your site.....would you? Your site would be the important feature and people would click your ads because you provided your visitors with something unique that you created and they trust you for this...so they click your ads in trust...not to mention they come back and do it again.and again...and buy anything else you have to sell them. Just a thought.. Good luck!
Wow thats really pathetic....for 600 UV. I get more from 2-3 UV seriously.. Anyway I think the problem is your site is not very targetted and your asenseads are just random ads which no1 is interested in. Have a look at some CPA offers which might be more targetted.
Well ask yourself where are your traffic sources coming from? Is it targeted traffic? And what do you offer to them, what does your site do for them?
I would say, move the square adsense to the left and the map to the right side of your image, because the visitors have to see and click first on the adsense and not on the map. i have also a design idea. Instead having 250x250 pixel images on the right side of your website, try to get them smaller 50x50 or so and concentrate them in the middle of your website. Also add a short description to each of the images that people can see what they are going to click.
Your hijacking of this thread has threatened my sexuality and smellocity deserves an honest critique... from you! Pay up for your indiscretion.
why don't you read it on page one idiot, i've already reviewed his site. And where is your honest critique?
The problem is traffic. For a young site, .18 is - sad to say - typical for around 600 unique. IMHO. You aren't focusing any high paying keywords with the overall theme of your site. Wouldn't hurt to do a little research and find out what keywords are paying well for your sector and try to skew the rankings in that direction. The notion of making lots of money on few hits is something that is not always workable for all developers. This aint 'mesothelioma', so you are going to have to crank the traffic up (not suggesting meso is still a goldmine, by the way). Adding more copy to the city pages and simply allowing some time will get you to a higher CPM. The thing to remember though is that people playing the volume/traffic game are asking how much they are making per thousand visitors, not per hundred. So it's an important worldview. If you ARE targeting some keywords, you should let folks know what they are they can evaluate how you are doing. One BIG tip that boosted my adsense earnings the day I implemented it is this: keep your advertising links formatted the same as your content links in color, font size, etc. Yours are shockingly different. When I arrived on your page I knew exactly where the ads were. Good luck!
