Hello, my host has this limit on my account:

    600 hits per 5 mins

I'm just wondering how many hits daily would break this limit, the support told me 150,000 hits daily would break this limit, what do you think?

If the company has told you, why are you asking? Their limit is per 5 minutes, not a collective total per day.

If the hits were all evenly spaced - which would be impossible, there are (12) 5 minute intervals in an hour X 24 = 172,800 hits per day.

It's a lot. How much are you paying for this hosting?

What exactly is a hit though, and what type of website do you have?

Depending on volume or traffic, what you experience may be more than 600 hits in 5 mins, if you count each file downloaded a hit.

i Prefer to change your hosting if you have more than 600 hits / min.

if you have this much traffic then why dont you move to a vps or dedicated server.

also you can use some more reliable shared hosting provider like hostgator, fatcow, bluehost.
