I will be submitting an entry as well, I have a pretty good idea of what I would like to enter...so just hang on a bit longer if you can.

 

Here is a preview of what I've worked on so far. Feedback would be appreciated, let me know if this is totally not in your client's tastes. I think their logo fit rather nicely on my idea here.

@jharrvis: This looks great! No changes needed.

@raja: Design ndnes1.jpg is nice and I like the picture frame look. However, I have a hard time seeing how a subpage would work with this design. The navigation and sidebar really throw the whole flow of the design off. Design paint2qs1.jpg does somewhat better in overcoming this problem. I particularly like the top navigation and the banner look you gave the buttons. However, the design is a little dark, and the header is a bit overbearing.

@badmasketa: Nice and elegant design. However, the brown is a bit over bearing. I would try to tie in the gray from the logo more.

@GreenleafElf17: This is a really good start and definitely on the right path! I am looking forward to seeing more of what you have in mind with this design.

@GreenleafElf17: This looks really good. I would put in the header the below statement and the picture and information. Also, I would add: Home About Contact into the below part of the header next to where the search is located.

If I may be so bold as to give my own little opinion, I think it looks better without the Home | About | Contact in the bar....but that's you and the client's decision, of course. I just wanted to just state that real quick...

GreenleafElf17: Thanks for making the changes, and after looking at the top nav I agree with you. The design becomes to heavy on the left side by adding in another navigation. This looks great though, and no more changes are needed. Design has been submitted to the client.

Reduced the header size and with much lighter color layout.
