Hi and thanks for the contest. I sent a PM to you, but decided to go ahead and post my entry before receiving an reply since I have it ready. Thanks!
Hi, thanks for the invite. I chose not to go with any fancy or literal fonts, I usually like to keep things quite clean as you can see from my previous work. There is a light and bold version here, the initial design was done in lighter, 'airier' colours (hope that makes sense) but I thought you'd like to see a bolder version also. As you can see, this design lends itself well to greyscale. I have left out any effects or gradients etc but if you'd like to see this just let me know and I'll try to post something up. Best regards, Vicki
What, just because you two made similar looking designs that are generic, he copied off of you? sorry, but a lot of logos look a lot like each other. Saying that he COPIED off of you is just a stupid argument. Yours isn't even that good.
I just think if I hadn't submitted my entry his would have looked completely different is all. Yes I know a lot of logos look like each other, Im not saying they don't. Well it was obviously good enough to be copied haha. Who are you anyway Mr.5 posts? Quit trolling around in other peoples threads. Sorry to distrup your competition CH.
Doubtful. If you look at all these other threads, people can stumble onto extremely similar logos without ever seeing the logo in which it bears likeness to. Anyways, just because i'm new here doesn't mean that I am wrong. You were the one that accused him of ripping your concept in the first place >_>
renderwork - Thanks again for the submissions. You've got some interesting ideas and I encourage your creativity. The 2 versions you posted yesterday after my last comments are not what I am looking for. manuj - Conceptually interesting but what you present is simply a picture. If you were to take the concept and make a clean, simple logo based on it (with some artistic interpretation)...it might work. The font you chose is not appealing. IM3D - clean, simple. I'm looking for something that at least hints "bed". I see the moon, stars, night, etc...but what says bed? The font, although simple and clean, is relatively un-inspiring. jackieh179 - There is something about this logo concept that is starting to work. I think the overall layout is good and I could see it used within the header of a website. Again, for what I am looking for, I don't see anything that says "bed/mattress". I'm looking for something more on the professional side. Victoriaann - clean and simple for sure. I'm not a fan of the rising air font element. The font choice is a little week...maybe it just needs some bolding. The cloud is obvious...I'm not sure what the "swish" is...maybe it represents "air"? Anyway, it's not what I am looking for at this point. renderwork - Another good entry. A fresh idea that is simple and appealing. Good color scheme...the small yellow moon is a nice touch and really works well with the font selection. nice work. Unfortunately, it's not what I am looking for. (I'm putting together some additonal direction...please look for it below) Creations4You - That's the concept I described. I'm just not a fan of the implementation. I'm looking for something more professonal. dryada - sure, no problem labela - Conceptually closer to the new direction that I am about to post (see below). The font is a bit uninspiring...I encourage you to try other options.
Some further direction... Good Night Air is looking to compete with Tempur-pedic and Select Comfort. These are big brand names and therefore the logo needs to compete on their level. Take a look at their logos, websites, etc. if you haven't already. I would like to give some direction for a specific concept I would like to see tried. How about a figure (similar to Tempur-pedic...but do not rip it off) sleeping on a cloud bed? Maybe the text is inside the cloud? Maybe not? Thank you everyone for all your hard work.
labela - Better font choice...but still not what I am looking for. The concept is good...the presentation is not my style overall. Try changing the figure to a silhoutte and making the gradient behind the text a cloud. renderwork - look for my "additional direction" below. I'm not sure I care for the style of the figure image. The first one is better than the second one. Again, the color scheme is good...but I don't care for the font. dryada - too cutesy dryada - again, too cutesy for what I am looking for. Ori_lowkey - no thank you
I'm starting to have a concept in mind...and I attempted to draw it out. http://www.builtmedia.com/GNA-logo-concept.jpg (I hope you can make it out) The "dark thing" on top is the person sleeping on the cloud. Try this as a silhouette or gradient. The person should be sleeping on a cloud. Try putting the text within the cloud as I have done. (or maybe all you need is the top of the cloud with the text under it?) Again, I think it comes down to presentation and style. Keep it professional, simple, clean. Again, take a look at the major competitors in the market. Of course I'm open to additional ideas... Thanks again everyone!
