    Hi to all,

I need a logo/image for a new site Etownguide.com. This image will be used for local usa merchants that want free ads on our site. In order to get these ads the merchant must display a reciprocal link. That's were this image will be used. It should not be to big but I have no set size. Maybe something like 175w x 120h but... it's not set in stone.
The image that I have in my mind is the domain name Etownguide.com written in long hand script (like the flash section of the home page). Behind and/or above the domain is a hand drawn street scene (no pics) of a typical usa small town. It could be 2 or 3 stores on a small main street, maybe a sidewalk cafe, maybe a town hall and park, something that viewers would regard as a picturesque small town. Maybe you have something different in mind, that's fine, I'd like to see it too.
Color scheme should be blues and shades of green/teal.
Payment will be made via PayPal.
I'd like to select a winner as soon as possible so, please start drawing!

    Thanks for the entry SNiiP3R,
I know I said town hall and park but now that I see it... I'm thinking it's not right. Sorry, that's my fault. I'm thinking more street scene. Also the image over the domain seems a bit high. Thanks.

One other thing on this please:
I would rather not have a set square or rectangular look to the image. Know what I mean?

    SNiiP3R,

hmmmm, the view is a bit too much to take in. Maybe it should be from 1 side of the street to the other versus down the street.

Maybe the hight should be more like 90 than 120 as well. I will need to put text under this image at local mercahnt sites and they may not want to give ap all that space. For instance if the local merchant is a restaurant in Oakland, NJ then under this image will be the actual link "Oakland, NJ Restaurants".

thanks for all the entries. Just a thought though, maybe I should have implied more of a logo to this contest than an image. The latest entries are getting closer but much more image than logo. Maybe simpler is better. Thanks.

    Sheeze,

Thanks for the entries Sheeze. I think they are too much image and not enough of a logo. I quess maybe I sent you all off with my own opinions. I'm sorry for that. I'm not sure how to but you all back on the right track.
The domain name in long hand script like SNiiPer3r is good. But above it or a part of it depicts a small town street scene. But again. it's a logo not a fixed image square/rectangular box. Maybe the image above the street sceen has lines like a cloud would have encircling it so that this logo is just not a box. Know what I mean?

got your mind i think. i will try something later on.
anyhow, all of the stuff posted here are not actually a logo, what you are describing is too much for a logo, you can't make a whole scene in a logo.

    sheeze,

yes, you're right, they're all a bit too much. If I had just asked for a logo for a site that centers on small usa towns named etownguide what would it look like?
