OK, the competition is over! Please don’t submit any more logos as they will not be accepted in the competition. I will contact the relevant people over the weekend and update this thread on Monday.

OK, its time to announce the winner of the competition. But first a speech:

Firstly thanks to everyone who entered, when I started this competition I had no idea what response I would get and I was amazed with how many people entered and how many great designs there are. There is some great talent around and I hope all of you will benefit from your skills. Choosing the winner has been very hard and it took 6 judges to finely decide on a winner. All the entries where rated and the top three where then judged.

The top three (not in any order) were:
    GoldAndHoney
    coolwanz
    KBOOM

All three of these designs where really good and if I had the choice I would have put them all on AdsBay, but unfortunately there can only be one. There were other good designs but they lacked the specifics wanted for AdsBay.

All of the top three were extremely close and the winner only won by a slight margin. A lot of different aspects where taken into account while making the decision. Including:
How easy it was to read the writing of the logo
How appealing the logo was to look at
    How unique the logo was
How well the colour combinations complemented each other and the site
How well the logo represented the site
    And a few others…

Eventually after three days of pondering and a few requests for colour changes and slight alterations, it was decided that GoldAndHoneys logo was the best. What we decided made it the best was the fact that it had a few hidden meanings, it was very easy to read and at the same time it was still unique and very appealing.

The only flaw on coolwanzs design was the fact that some of the judges thought it was very hard to read and one thought it said MAdsBay, but all said it was very professional.

KBOOMs design, after a few alterations, was also very good, but the judges decided that it looked to much like an eye and AdsBay is not about eyes. Also one judge utterly disliked it and said it looked like someone had taken there eye out.

Anyway, so the winner is GoldAndHoney! Congratulations and thank you very much for entering, I hope you enjoy the prize.

Thanks again to everyone who entered; your designs are all great!!!
