$60 Header/Logo Contest

I am making a new site which will be called:

Portable Generator News

The site will offer descriptions and customer reviews of hundreds of portable generator models. When new generator models and technology are released we will announce it and allow customers to offer their reviews. So we are like an online journal focusing on portable generators. I would like a header with a white background that is 772x167 pixels. Contest will be open until Friday Feb 16th at 5:00pm or as soon as a great header comes along and is chosen to win! Winner will be paid via PayPal.

FYI: Portable generators are generally small-engined units that run on gasoline in order to produce portable electricity.

 

Could you let me know if you are looking for any particular color as text ? any favorites ?
Also.. Can entries be through PM ?

 

Entries have to be posted in the forum to maintain fairness ok? I don't want people to wonder if an winner was really paid I don't have any requests except that the design is on a white background to match the rest of the site. The CSS will be altered to match the logo/header. Looking forward to the first entries!

The site isn't made yet, I am going to match it to the header

It can be anything from real pictures to clip art. The product is about keeping your power on if it goes out, or powering a remote cabin. After a hurricane, everyone is looking for a generator to keep their food refrigerated and up north, people are using the power from generators to keep their homes warm enough to keep pipes from freezing

I hope that is enough to find an inspiration.

Thanks for the entries, we're getting on track, let's keep them coming, I would like a bit more of a custom image, and say it does not have to take up the whole area I am still very open to designs!

Mine is similar to the one Grand made ...

 

That is highly unprofessional it isn't only 'similar' but the exact same design with different fonts and color hues.. I'm sure he wouldn't appreciate this..

I'm going to ask you to withdraw it. not because it poses a threat. But because that is truly the worst design theft that i have ever seen. not only is it a total theft of concept. but also it looks worse than the original.

I wish that you could be more professional in the future. it might generate a lot of heat.

Other DP members might not be so light.
