Nice work, we are definitely headed in the right direction!!!

I am still waiting on a few people who have told me they are going to submit but here is my Feedback for everyone that has posted so far:

    Hard2kill:
Not really what I am looking for. That looks more like a banner ad than a logo. If you read through the thread you will see some fairly detailed criteria (including the slogan that we decided on). Feel free to give it another shot!

    Anidesign:
I really like it. One of my favorites so far! I also had an idea that maybe the “i” in media could be a match lighting the fuse of the bomb (just a thought). In addition, if possible could you give it a bit of a glow and make it slightly angled and 3D so you can actually see the side of the text?? (Similar to the icons in post #17).

    Aryon:
Very cool! My other favorite so far! I really like the 3D icon! Perhaps you could show me one or two different fonts (The current one is nice it just looks just a little bit too simple). If you could find something a bid more edgy and hip I would love to see a couple variations…

    Nwsn3twrkshp:
I like the color scheme but it seems a bit busy. The bombs appear somewhat out of place and its hard for me to focus on what is says. I also think that the detonator icons don’t look enough like an actual detonator for people to realize right away… Maybe try removing the bombs and having the detonator blow up or shatter the “media” text.

    IM3D:
Very nice! I love how clean and modern it looks! In the top 3 so far! I like the font and the O but for some reason this reminds me of an overstock.com logo. Maybe if you make all the font slightly angled and 3D, like the O, it would look better?! Can we also change the green out with a different color? How about one example with a warm color (brown, orange…) and one with a cool color (blue, grey…). I like the word media below the word detonator and make it a little larger too. You might even consider giving "media" a shattered 3D look like it is being blown up?

We are getting much closer and I am really starting to like some of these! :D As I have stated before that I really like the clean, 3D look. In addition if possible, I would like to emphasize “Explosive” by having the media text (or something else) actually being blown up. Perhaps shatter and bulge the “media” text as if it were just starting to blow up, or twist, turn and resize some of the letters so it appears as if they are being thrown at you in an explosion!

    Individual feedback:

    Ariestoteles:
Looking good! Please incorporate the slogan in the bottom. Please also ad some detail to the plunger/detonator and show that it is moving in a downward direction. Instead of wrapping the fuse around the M, make it look as if media is being blown up. (If that is not possible than we at least need to have a spark somewhere along the fuse…

    Matchstick:
I do like the concept and the way you incorporated the detonator and the bomb but I think it should be one or the other… Perhaps ditch the bomb and make the “I” a stick of dynamite attached to the detonator/plunger with a spark somewhere along the fuse. Also remove the underlining on the O and use warm colors instead of blue and green.

    NaIdz:
I like that you actually made a logo. Please use the black background, get rid of all the blue and make the bomb logo black, white and grey. The font seems a bit boring so maybe you could try to change it up to make it more edgy and eye catching!

    Kamiru:
It needs to have a more explosive look and I am really looking for something that ties the font in with the logo icon. It’s a bit to plain.

    Xaralee:
Looking good. I would like everything to have more of a 3D feel and a glow behind it. Maybe make the “I” the match and put the bomb behind all the text. If possible I think it would look really neat if you could make it look like the match just lit the bomb and it just started to explode the logo outwards. I envision it either shattering and bulging or a few letters bulging and slightly twisted or turned like they are being blown towards you!

I am trying to make it into simple 2 colors so that it could be used in different ways such as T-shirt, printing material or newspaper, etc and save some printing cost...

Top 4 as of right now are as follows:

    Aryon,
Looking good! I like Variant #1 but please give it more of a red glow and make the “media” look as if it were exploding outwards instead of upwards. (If you make some of the letters larger than others it will make it look like some are closer than other and give it a 3D feel)! Please also make it look as if the plunger is moving downwards, perhaps with a faint motion or wind trail…

    Xaralee,
I like it. Very professional looking. I like how you turned “media” to give it a 3D look but can you try it again and make it slightly less angled. Can you also give the word “detonator” a similar 3D angle (either going the opposite direction or the same direction). In addition I would like the bomb fuse to be longer and closer to the match so you can tell that it was just lit! (Just a thought… maybe you could even put the bomb in front of the words down below and have the fuse running up and across the word media so it can still be lit by the match)!

    Anidesign,
Very clean look! Can you move the bomb over to the next “O” so it is closer to the match? Also please make the bomb look more like a real bomb (shiny grey with a black cap). In addition I would like the match to be shorter and wider. Please also light the match and make the fuse a little easier to see! (If its not to difficult I would also really like the text to look a little more 3D by rotating each letter slightly as if you were looking at it from an angle…)

    Matchstick,
Great concept! I really like how the plunger is about to light the dynamite! My only issue is that I still don’t really like the font. For some reason it just doesn’t look professional and “web 2.0” enough to me. Can we make the font more blocky with more of a dispersed glow around it?!?!

I do like the simplicy but I am really looking for something that has more of an explosive 3D feel!
