Contest 60$ for creating a happy cartoonish logo

Hello again talented people,

I need a new logo with for the following:

Name: Happy-Samoan-Tours (please remove the lines)

Colours: choose some nice, bright, happy colours. Google Samoan patterns or Samoan print fabric to get an idea of Samoan designs/patterns

Style: My idea is to get some people in a kind of a minivan and they are all smiling. I prefer this to be a cartoonish/mascot style of design. I am attaching some examples of what I want. Please note the examples are childish but it gives the idea of the minivan/small bus full of happy people. Please note this will be for a tour company for mainly adults and not for children.

If you want to do a character/mascot to go with it that would be great. If you do, make the character/driver fat and smiling. Stereotypically speaking Samoan people are big people. Kind of like when you think of a baker, you stereotypically assume he is fat. Or can use a coconut tree or whatever other island symbol you can think of.

I hope to end it in about 5 days (or sooner if I see something I really like). And lastly, some of you may know I run a similar contest and the winner of that contest was paid except that now the need is for a minivan/small bus to be a part of the logo hence the new contest.

 

@Platre Thank you for this. It looks really good. I could think of a few minor things to make it look better nut I may request that if you are the winner. Very, very pleasant design. Also the "mascot" looks really good although I would use a lava lava (Samoan male skirt) instead of the pants.

@getdomain4u Thanks for the entry. Looks good. Only "problem" is the people at the back of the bus are Samoan looking. It is ok for the bus driver to be Samoan looking but the rest are going to be overseas tourists visiting Samoa (maybe white people, or Indian, or Asian etc). Still overall a very pleasant and strong design

@Papacita given the last Nepali logo I cannot trust your designs anymore so I hope you will understand I will not consider your entry either now or in other future contests that I may run

Thank you for all the entries and also for the changes. Thank you for making it so challenging for me to choose a winner. I am going to add my final feedback and it is up to you if you want to do the changes to improve your chances of winning or just leave everything as it is.

@Platre thanks for the mascot with the lava lava. it looks so much better now and also with the bright white smile and the sandals. For the logo I would like to see the following: the whole logo presented on a white background. The whole logo needs to be a little brighter/happier. This can be achieved easily by: using a brighter less dull yellow for the bus and maybe also the sun. Maybe if not too much hassle then replace the driver with the smiley one with the white teeth (still the one you have now is fine). Must change the colours of the font. The black is a bit dull. I would suggest some other colour or colour combinations for the font. Maybe have a different colour for each word as in my example (red, yellow and blue)

@getdomain4u thanks. Looks better. I would like some brighter colours if possible and also the word Happy to be bigger

@Blkstrdst looks really good. Could you please remove the flower from the driver and also try a brighter shade for the van and the coconut tree leaves.

@tosario the second one looks good. Both look good actually but I prefer the male driver one. The only problem I have is this logo looks a bit "portrait" rather than landscape. I am not sure if you can reposition it so it looks a bit more spread out. Right now it looks a little boxed in somehow. And if you can replace the black from the font with another colour I think it will make it look a bit brighter.

Thanks again to everyone that has submitted their designs, If you feel like you don't want to do the changes I suggested please let me know. That way I can make my final decision knowing not to wait for additional changes. For what it's worth, right now the order of preference is as follows: Platre, Blkstrdst, tosario, getdomain4u. I also want to add, I would be happy with any of these designs.

Thank you @proteindude i tried to find a balance with more vibrant colors, here is the new versions, I prefer the one with the contour on the text because the yellow in this tone is a bit hard to read on a white background. Let me know what you think
