My traffic is steadily increasing but my Adsense revenue seems to be tanking. For the last month, i've been averaging roughly $85 per day in adsense revenue. Then two days ago, I get the most traffic and pageviews I've ever had, and my Adsense revenue drops by almost $30? I don't pay for any advertising and most of my traffic comes from some very creative SEO, referrals, and organic search results. What gives? Why is my revenue tanking as my traffic increases?
I wouldn't worry about it - Adsense has occasional "ClickDumps" - so one day it'll drop immensly and in a few days you'll have a huge boost. They are tracking the clicks, but it might not be reflected in the same day. I would wait a few days... and if it stays that low, then you can worry
Wow, that sucks. When you work as hard as I do, you expect things to increase, not the opposite. The crazy thing is, that on my other site, I recieve LESS pageviews, but the ratio is much higher than my high traffic site. Has anyone ever tried TinyMassive or any other PPC programs? I really want to maximize my advertising revenue.
Advertisers are going to come and ago. The bid amount per keyword is also not static. Sometimes advertisers will bid on one keyword for .30, the next day they could possibly get that same keyword for .15 depending on competition. It's how the business works, you can't do much about it. Unless your site is good enough to generate returning visitors then don't waste your money with PPC.
Seriously is your math poor? You are earning 1$ CPM and if you think other networks with a level of requirementas adsense will pay you 1$ CPM you are wrong.
Well, its a gossip blog and 80% of my visitors are returning visitors. The site is updated with roughly 10-15 new posts each day and it gets crawled almost instantly via google. So the visitor base isn't the problem. If anything it's the latter, that the bid amounts are changing. Like I stated earlier, the traffic is steadily increasing. I vary between 6-7 thousand visitors per day, and depending on how the posts are set up, between 5 - 7 pageviews per visitor. It's just weird to see it consistently hover around $85 bucks a day, and then on the day we have more than 60,000 pageviews (the most ever), my revenue tanks. Besides clickbank, are their any other good affiliate networks?
My math is fine, but you're COMPLETELY missing the point. On the days when I had 30-40,000 pageviews, my adsense revenue was between $75 and $85. Perhaps you should read my concerns before getting sarcastic. Simple logic would say that if you get MORE pageviews, then your revenue should go up, not down. My CPM is normally upwards of $2 and sometimes $3, so what's your point.
Just saying that it's your only option to get such a good rate, I have a lot (I am not even counting how many) accounts with different ad networks and I came to to a conclusion long time ago that if you are earning 1$+ CPM you really should be happy. And adsense is not a constant network, there are a lot of factors the can influence CPC and CPM.
Is it your CTR dropping or your earnings per click? the latter is volatile so dont worry its likely to return.
It may be too soon for you to hit the panic button. 2 days of earnings is really not alot to go by. Give it another week or 2.
