These are great tips, especially for the beginner. Thanks for sharing. I'm surprised, though, that writing good quality, original content, is nowhere on that list.

daking89 - I am a firm believer that Content, is indeed King. One thing you may be doing wrong, (and I know this from personal experience!), are you also placing the content of the article on your site? If so, Google will penalise your site for duplicate content, and they seem to be clamping down more on this.

Re article writing in general, this only works for certain types of site. It wouldn't really work for 'affiliate sites', as with most free article submission sites, you can't blatantly plug a particular product, and usually can't embed your affiliate links in the body of the article, just the 'resource' section, where you plug yourself and your site etc.
