Hi, Good tips , tell me some thing about ranking how we can get top ranking on google. can we get only thru link exchange , if we exchange links in bulk for a website, only one way link...no reciprocal will be there thanks

i dont even think getting links back to yoru site is that big a deal. i have managed to get high rankings simply by putting a lot of work into internal seo and on page optimization which matters a lot more than getting a lot of quality back links i really think thats 90% of the battle is won right there to get good rank and getting indexed even easier all you have to do is use a unique template, have internal website structure and on page optimization.
You can find out how many times a particular keyword plus any relavant keyword was searched for at http://inventory.overture.com. Remember that Overture is Yahoo's search engine results, so you can more than double that figure to get an idea of Google searches. If you want to know what the competition for that keyword is simply search for the keyword in Google and the number of pages that appear will give you a rough idea. If your site is optimized for that keyword then you can get a better idea of how many direct competitors you are facing by doing a search to see how many pages have the keyword in the title of the page: allintitle:keyword, or in the url: allinurl:keyword or in the text allintext:keyword From this info you can calculate the KEI for a keyword to determine whether it's worth going after or not. KEI = p(searches) / s(number of results) * p(searches). Wordtracker for example suggests anything above 40. That's kinda high, but depending on how much effort you're willing to put in it can definitely be done. Sorry for going off topic For onpage SEO it's also important to ensure that the meta tags are properly optimized. Your title page should effectively reflect what that page is about. The meta description tag should give a brief description of the information contained within the page, make sure your main keyword is in the first sentence. Finally the keywords tags, kinda speaks for itself. Insert your main keywords in here. Include the keywords which have the highest density on that page first, and any relevant keyword. Don't overstuff with keywords that have no place being there. META tags are just one of many many factors to consider when doing SEO for your site and won't guarantee you a better ranking, but they are important none the less.
ofcourse there are always other ways of getting traffic but SEO is the one which drives the most. Hence why so many people do it.
