Countless Muslims fly every day without incident.

    What made these guys special?

They purposfully made a scene to attract attention to themselves. There is no conspiracy against Muslims. They just want to pretend there is and helpful idiots like to perpetuate the myth.

They were acting weird, they got yanked. Anybody who acts weird is going to get yanked. We're just more sensitive to Muslims because they're the ones that use planes to murder people.

As soon as Jews, Native Americans, White and Black people start blowing up planes and hold regular suicide bombings we'll stop focusing on one particular group of people.

What no one seems to ask is, at what altitude was the plane when they were tossed out? :D

There's a stereotype that serial killers are always white; and while that's not entirely true, it's often very true. Now the moment a cop pulls me over because he thinks I look like a suspect serial killer, I won't give a shit. What the hell would I have to hide...? Nothing. As long as I don't end-up with an anal probe, I'm cool.

I don't remember the last time white people have complained about that stereotype...probably never. I'm sure it's because 'we' know it's remotely true, but 99.9% of us know that it's not us...so no worries.

Which reminds me. I'm very close to aviation security. Could you tell me why a seventy year-old woman is subject to extra security checks? How political correct does this have to get?

It's getting stupid Rick, especially after that ridiculous "liquid bomb plot" BS the other month.

None of the sheeple even stopped to question the feasability of making the bombs active, it would have needed controlled "chemistry laboratory style" conditions and that would certainly not be the toilet on an airliner.

This highlights how stupid the BS was:

Interesting Article. I must say I really haven't looked into the recent events concern Britain's terrorists scare.

What's your thoughts on Richard Reid, whom was convicted of attempting to do something similiar on flight 63, in December 2001?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Reid_(shoe_bomber)
    http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/munitions/tatp.htm

In that case it appeared Richard used PETN plastic explosives with a triacetone triperoxide (TATP) detonator hidden in the lining of his shoes....although he failed at successful detonation. From what I read, he appeared like a total fool. Not really bright, but I've never really thought of terrorists as bright...afterall, they're killing themselves for BS.

Perhaps my question would be...was there any other commonents they had with them as well (on that recent scare)? The other would be: are they stupid enough to attempt something half-ass?

I do respect what others do as long as it doesn't threaten me, my family, my friends or the country that I love.

Exactly! Just like non Muslims are being politically correct and respectful, they need to understand that their behaviour can cause discomfort to others.

It's more complete BS to scare the sheeple into giving away more of their rights Rick.

And it's pretty simple when you think about it:

Why did Reid try and detonate it sat in his seat?
Why did he not go to the toilet and detonate it in there?

His intention was to bring the plane down, trying to do it sat in his seat in the cabin? He could have found a toilet at the rear of the plane as a quick search on the net will confirm that the toilets at the rear of a Boeing 767 are located against the fusalage.

And someone might say "but he was trying to set the bomb off above the wings of the plane to ignite the fuel tanks" now I don't claim to be an aviation expert but if Reid had managed to blow a huge chunk out of the rear of the plane at 32,000 feet it should cause enough damage to bring it down.

Slighty off topic but an interesting read all the same:

Yup, he looked like a crazy, but most patsys do mate. :)

You think the witnesses on that were all concocted? What exactly do you think occured in that situation?

Maybe he's a moron or over-eager...or perhaps something different? *shrug* Plastic explosive can do the job pretty much anywhere...even very small amounts.

You can't necessarily think by your logic...

In 9/11, they could have easily flown the plane into an active nucleur reactor, making a part of the east coast inhabitable for thousands of years. Supposedly they considered doing such, but opted for image, rather than might.

I personally don't think anyone should wholeheartly believe what the gov says, but one has to be somewhat reasonable in their conclusions. There has to be credible reason to believe third-party involvement and/or nullify the information available.

I try not to believe in a reality that involves an imagination...but I give reasonable barrier to plausibility of things.

"During the sentencing hearing he openly stated that he was an Islamic fundamentalist and declared himself an enemy of the United States and in league with Al-Qaeda and Osama bin Laden."

Other Al-Queda operatives claim he was sent on the bombing mission by senior members of Al-Queda.

    ---------------------------------------
Not that a man saying he was an enemy of the US and having weapons are the same thing, but I'm a bit more inclined to lean that direction.
