http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/11/21/national/main2202120.shtml They were not seated together but on the plane kept congregating together to pray. 3 of them had a one way ticket. 3 didn't have any checked luggage. And a number of them asked for seat belt extensions while none of them were obese enough to need one. The flight crew was nervous and a passagener wrote a note to the captain indicating he was uneasy. Some people think they whole thing was a setup. A setup for what, who knows. They obviously knew what they were doing. It wouldn't surprise me if we see more instances of this as we go through the holidays. Hopefully this won't cause people to stop being on the look out for terrorists (who, like it or not, are mostly muslim) because we've somehow been shamed into not speaking out against creepy people on planes. From the reaction this story is getting, that's not likely. Many Muslims have been tossed off planes lately for being wierd. In Detroit one had instructions for bombs. Maybe these instances are just attempts to get us to cry wolf one too few times.
Sorry but if you do like that then you can not actually blame the Police for doing there job. More funny is that they took my friends, a girl dildo before she could board the plane from US.
1.7 BILLION muslims pray every day buddy (that is 6 times the population of the entire USA to put that in perspective for ya ) , I don't pray and I doubt you do but ya have to respect what others do.
Gathering to pray on a plane? That is just stupid. Those people are fanatics, thats why no one trusts them, they will do anything in name of their "god"
They're only fanatics because FOX News, CNN, ABC etc. have told you they're fanatics. They were just regular Muslims praying for christs sake.
It is normal for Muslims to pray several times a day dude. Just because we don't doesn't mean that they shouldn't. Read up a bit on their religion mate eh.
Which proves my point that they are a bunch of fanatics. If you can't sit down on a frigging plane without having to gather up your buddies and pray then you have issues
It's their religion mate, why disrespect it? I ain't up for praying because there is no god in my opinion, but if people believe in god and praying then it is their right as a human being to do so. It is only because the neocons manage to get everyone spooked why we hear crap like this all the time.
I would really like to see the explaination of needing seat belt extensions. Apparently it was not just one of them who asked for it. - 'one flight attendant wrote in a statement given to the police. “They were not overweight.†- - "requested safety-belt extensions that they put under their seats" - Real terrorists wouldn't be so 'obvious' with their actions, from what i've read, this seems intentional to provoke something. I wouldn't be so quick to defend these guys. It's interesting to see some news sources chose not to report the sealt belt situation at all, while of course, playing them to be victims. .
My guess is, it was preplanned. CAIR has a history of doing things like this to portray muslims as victims. You can watch them play the "muslim persecution" card like clockwork every other month when a knew terrorist plot is uncovered. The obvious thing would be, if you don't want to draw attention to yourselves at an airport, don't make anti-American comments and do other things to draw attention to yourselves. And sure enough, within 24 hours, like clockwork: Standard CAIR operating procedure. Do something suspicious to draw attention, get the attention they seek, refuse to depart the plane when asked, play the victim card on cue, then call for a boycott. Lacking from their outrage and press releases are the disturbing details of the group's leader.
I also think it was a setup. On top of all of their other highly suspicious activities, 1. While Muslims are required to pray five times per day, they are excused from this rule while traveling. 2. There is no requirement to pray out load, which is what they were doing. 3. Airlines personnel have been trained to look for ritual prayers as a prelude to a terrorist act. Their actions were disruptive and highly disturbing to a lot of passengers. AGS, it's not a matter of disrespecting their religion. I would probably be treated the same way if I started reciting the Lord's Prayer out loud on a plane. They need to respect our rules, which they were not doing. The whole world changed after 9/11. We are a lot less less tolerant of the political correctness insanity when it endangers our families.
