Lol, in reality, then a Paypal dispute has no influence what so ever on your business! If he opens a dispute, so what? The money is his, shouldn't be a single issue at all.
Taken from: http://www.hostlatch.net/tos.html Disputes: We have a zero-tolerance for Paypal disputes here at HostLatch. If you are found to open disputes, unautorized claims, or chargebacks, your service may be terminated without any refunds at all. You threatened us, by saying if we did not refund you, you would post all over the forums. Again, taken from http://www.hostlatch.net/tos.html Any abuse, threats, and bad words to any of our staff members will be an automatic suspension or termination of your service without any refunds.
Saying that he will post bad reviews about you in forums if he don't recieve a refund is not exactly a "threat", as he did not threat you as a staff member, but the company as a poorly ran company that clearly don't keep their promises. And he is fully entitled to write about HostLatch where he want's when he want's. (As long as the forum allows it offcourse ) And from what i could understand, then you didn't WANT to refund Denny ? And from what i can see, then there is others you have refused to refund, and instead you have tried to convince them that everything will be alright. (yeah right)..... So from my point of view, then Denny is 100% entitled to do a Paypal Claim considering that you didn't refund him and all the others in the first place.
Well.... I can confirm Adam has refunded me the full cost of the VPS. For that I thank you Adam, at least you have done the right thing here now so that goes to show you are willing to correct things. For me now that is an end to the matter and I hope anyone else with issues with Adam can work them out also.
Adam: I am seriosly impressed, after 7 threads on DP and 4 threads on WHT whereof 3 pages with posts in Denny's thread, then you finally refunded the poor guy ... Congrats. You have (almost) passed the first lesson in business ethics, you now have a far way to go to get to step two.. (Threat your client's with respect)
its just that, you should have refund him rightway. why waste so much time for such small amount of money
Well, as far as I am concerned you need to spell check.... he was not making a "unautorized" claim. well there went another one. Unless I am mistaken your last name is Jack now?
Ok but it's over now as I got a refund. I was not happy with the service as it kept dropping out for me and I wanted resolved quickly which did not happen so I decided it was not for me and asked for a refund after a few days. This was not given at first so I made a dispute with paypal and shared my experience here and elsewhere which I would not have done if I had just got the refund which would have been the end to it. It was not spite but as a warning to others. For me it did not work that is all I can say now but other plans from HostLatch maybe ok for others, I don't know. In the end Adam done the right thing so for me he gets back respect and I have no intention to flame him or his company further now.
Thanks! And yes, Dennis did have troubles with his shoutcast being laggy but if he decided to stay with us, we could have solved the issue rather quickly. ~ Adam
Only 1 node is being affected (vps2), as well as our main website. That node (hostlatch site is also hosted on that node) is running an FSCK check. Other people on other nodes are not affected and their servers are working fine. We will update you shortly
