    Hi,
I put a search form from google adsense on one of my websites, on the search forum i put the default value as loans.
Well i got 26 search's and 6 clicks on the adverts, which made me 6$.
The question is will adsense bann me for putting the default search value as loans? Thanks.

That is very likely, you aren't allowed to set a default value. Better fix it fast!

Yep, this I think is a big violation. If they find out about it they will most likely ban you (unless they are feeling very forgiving). You are in no way allowed to alter any code.

Thanks Uploadline for bringing this up.
So even if your site is about loans
you may not place loans as the value?

    Thanks for your input

I just learned something, I was unaware you cannot have a default value for Google search. I don't have any search boxes on my sites yet but was thinking of possibly adding to a few sites.

are you sure that you can't modify it at all? I've seen many sites that have changed the default search to their site instead of the web...

thanks for telling me this, i got well over 1000$ to come from adsense to me and i dont want to lose that from my arcade site.

Google should make users aware of this, this is realy confusing.

Anyone know what the official word is from Google on this? Choosing a default search that matches a sites niche would be the only way to make Adsense for Search a desirable program. If Google doesn't allow this, they should.

This was taken from Google Adsense Program Polices:

"Any AdSense ad code, search box code, or referral code must be pasted directly into Web pages without modification. AdSense participants are not allowed to alter any portion of the ad code or change the layout, behavior, targeting, or delivery of ads for any reason."

You are definitely not allowed to pre-populate the search box with text to search for.
You can however select the default option to be for your domain instead for the web. You can do this in the Adsense setup page and thus it is not a violation of the ToS.
