I think this topic is too generic and that's why users click the first few links...another thing may be your site is not attractive to the audiance...check the ad placement, design etc
For a phrase like 'money making guide' or any key word you have to put yourself in the mind of the person that will enter that into Google, he or she is most likely a beginner and when they come to your site they need to be guided, easily through steps you say 'Make your own website or self hosted blog. Self hosted blog can also be created using wordpress.' for a beginner this is not easy, they wont even know what cpa means, you lose a bunch of people right here and thats if they stayed past the graphics and colours which are immediately off putting. I am assuming you want people to optin, but its not clear, what do you want people to do? You should drive people to optin with a credible, mouth watering offer and then give them a more in depth 'money making plan' on the other side
Unfortunately Wulkanen is right, I see 1,600 global searches per month for this keyword in "Exact" searches. This is a problem many SEOs do when conducting keyword research. If you want more traffic to your site with this keyword I would get ranked in at LEAST position #3, #1 even better. By the way Wulkanen, I saw the offer in your sig and would have loved to grab it. Not everyone does the whole Facebook "Like" to get reports or even videos. You'll probably get a lot more out of the offer if you build a subscriber list and have people opt-in to get the report. If you made $300 in a month you can easily pay less than $20 for service like Aweber. Do you mind sending me the link through PM? I would love to read it. I would have signed up immediately if there was an opt-in form to get it.
Keyword on which you are rating matters .If its low searching then you will get nothing .So we can say that coming in top in all keywords does matter rather than coming in one specific.
Exact searches 1900 a month = Around 47 uniques a day if you're ranking 1st Also, is that Gmail's favicon modified on your website??
Maybe optimize it for "ways to make money" since the exact phrasing of that is 74,000 searches per month.
