    Hi,

My site is open for months but I really don't attend it because of my health problems.. It was a big project, but now I really don't know what I can do with it.

It is PR 5 and domain on it is really valuable.

What is your suggestions for it ?
    Thanks.

I like your site and think it look very good with lots of content.
I can't imagine what else you could do with it but marketing.
You could also later sell it.

    Thanks malc, bluesharki..

Some of subdomains are offline, so there are any contents on them. I will start doing them.

It has a lot of deficiencies.
    I wonder your comments.
    Thanks.

    Many of the things I'll tell you, you'll already know but;
here is a basic list to get you started:

    - List on as many directories as you can (free or paid) but remember to have a good generic "descriptions" as you might not be able to change it later.
    - Submit to : www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl, search.yahoo.com/info/submit.html, beta.search.msn.com/docs/submit.aspx if you have'nt done so yet.
    - Use an e-mail signature for your main e-mail account.
    - Use Forums like this to promote your site and services (add a sig)
    - Sites like www.digg.com and other similar gives you lots of traffic (submit stories and articles).
    - E-mail and news letter marketing (start collecting adresses).

I'll tell you what worked really good for me.
Two of my sites requires user registration and I collected almost 1000's of email address from this.
Once a month I send out a simple newsletter with some affiliate links blended in between.
Sometimes I simply send out random e-mails entitled "Special Offers"
So there it is, what works good for me is e-mail marketing.
Here is a good free "do it yourself" e-mail marketing site.

This may seem small but where it says:

Welcome to 50.org ~ Huge Web Portal

Shouldn't that be 5o.org or 5:confused:rg not 50 (zero) fifty, or am I seeing this wrong?

EDIT: Ok, I see that the O in 5O matches the O in ORG, but if I was confused others might as well.
Since it is so memorable a name, you dont want people mistaking it for fifty dot org.

    Peace,

Thanks for advices malc. Already I tried some of them, but most of them are really good. I will try.

What do you think about domain ? It is PR 5 and short. I think it must be valuable.
What is the value of domain / site for you ?
    Thanks.

Not for me... the embarassment of missing that the first time has chisled your sites name into my memory... . And since it is a great looking and well thought out portal and most of your visitors will be net savvy, only n00bs might make the same mistake I made. :D

Honestly Yahoo!Guy, everytime I get to this point with a website I start a new project/site.
I then add to, modify and work on 3 or 4 at a time.

at the end of the day if all you have is the name and no content then you're not sitting as pretty as you think you are. your site is only worth a one-off bit of cash and is only slightly better than a longer name. i recommend offering free subdomains like 5u.com and i8.com. you can't really do much better than just turning it into a big directory where people can make free basic listings and paid advanced listings.

if you're suffering much from ill health though, take a break from your pc and get some fresh air :)
