disgust, you are absolutely correct. and while the blending of that site is brilliant, the sheer number of other things to click on must really put the ctr extremely low on that site (besides people that go there do so for a reason, which is not to click the ad). still, an amazingly beautiful site with a truly gorgeous blend of colors and functionality.

It's not hard to spot them. The "Ads by Yahoo" tag is black text on a pure white background.

I'm sure this site is bringing around $3k - $6k/day, I have a site with way less traffic than they have (probably 1/5 of what they get), and I used to do the same thing which brought in around $900/day... Yahoo sent me a nice little email telling me to stop or my account will be terminated :)

The ads on this site probably do convert very well, which means both Yahoo and the advertisers are happy, so why would they bother telling them to stop.

if you read my post carefully you'll realize I never said that. I said I have sites more popular than theirs, and I have sites that recieve very little traffic that earn far more revenue than my incredibly popular sites... apologize if it was ambiguous.

again, you're free to believe what you like, but if you go around asking big publishers, you're going to find they don't often (if ever?) get a different TOS...

bottom line is with deceptively getting people to click (which that site is doing, any way you cut it), the advertisers conversions will drop. that's not good for yahoo.

After reading all's reply, i think people getting jealous by the thread name "5K site". just let him stay happy & don't worry much about other's TOS problems..just keep yours going.

    Thanks

It's a nice site, my friend did some of the coding on the CMS; however, wtf is all of this $5k a day sites? Focus on your own ventures not other. As someone said in the thread already - hundreds if not thosands of sites make that per day and more.

You might not see the ads because they are so well assimilated into the site.

Could be something a competitor would do.

im not one for i told you so and i hate to bring back old threads but i had to point this out for your benefit and my point.

if you look again, you'll see the images are no longer next to the ads. im sure a tos violation letter soon followed your posting of their site.

ypn does not give exceptions to certain publishers because they make more money or have more traffic. their rules are simple and they apply to everyone.

They must get a pretty interesting CTR. I wonder how long Yahoo will take to ban their site.
