I have been averaging $5k a month from affiliate marketing and trying to hit a goal of $10k. For people doing $10k how hard was it to go from $5k to 10k a month???
Can you please tell us what affiliate program you are using ? what is the technique you have adopted to reach the 5k limit? Thanx in advance.
It all depends on how you scale. Try to identify a pattern on successful affiliate programs, why they are successful and repeat it several times. You will reach 10k and beyond...
I've always felt that if you find a way to make 1k a month, you can make 5k a month, if you can make 5k a month, you can make 10k a month. Once you find a method that works rinse and repeat until you hit your target goal.
If your making $5k a month ....$10k a month is just a stepping stone away. If your using organic traffic to acheive this $5k..take a look at your AWStats and see what keywords are people using to reach your website. Then start some PPC campaigns targeting these keywords and send them to these converting pages on your site. But if your using PPC to acheive $5k a month..something that is over looked often. Expand your successful PPC campaigns to other networks such as YSM, MSN...then if you have all those covered aswell expand to the second tier PPC Networks such as Miva, Adbrite, 7search..etc..etc.. (Basically broaden your reach with the success PPC campaigns). My biggest limitation was going from $5k to $10k in affiliate marketing was my budget didn't allow me to expand as rapidly as I would have liked so I had to take it in stages..which can be annoying when you think about the fact time is money. Also not really interesting in any loans so had to depend on my income coming in to cover future costs. Hope this helps!
If you are doing PPC at $5k a month you should be on a bi-weekly pay schedule, but if your not request it so you can re-invest the $$ back into PPC and scale the campaigns more.
How hard was the journey from 2.5k to 5k? This would be slightly more difficult seriously, it depends on your site, niche and competition at the top. Cant generalize.
I'd repeat what ever you have done exactly again, its what i did... while doing this, i'd tweek and improve on your current website
Wow, I love all of the non-specific answers to the original question. Trying to get back on track here, is there anyone that is making 10K or more a month? If so, can you share your experience with taking your monthly income from 5K to 10K?
I agree with the previous posters, just scale. If you are sure you have completely scaled up your niche then work on another similar niche with your same strategy.
For me the hurdle is going to be how to GET to the next level. I'm building up some SEO stats, but right now, most of my audience is on the site to chat with other people...intorducing stuff to buy/links is going to go over like a fart in church.
wantmomoney: yes it is quite ridiculous, especially with the ones asking you for details on what program you are promoting i guess they think most people were born yesterday. Anyhow, i can give you my perspective from running my own direct campaigns (not affiliate, but similar anyhow..). The key to get from 5k to 10k, or 10k to 20k, etc., for that matter, is to think outside the box. Analyze your keywords, etc. thoroughly, and focus on obtaining more traffic and conversions through the regular channels.. there's no secret to it. It's hard to suggest further without knowing your marketing mix (eg. SEO, PPC, etc.) .
