"550 Could not delete" Help me

I have a problem with my host i try to delete some files from ftp but my host don`t permit me to delete.
"550 Could not delete files.php: Operation not permitted"

Please help me

 

If it is free host they have restricted some access to files that the server need to limit your bandwidth or other things, if you use paid hosting try to chmod file to 777 then delete it, if it still do not works, make sure you have correct permissions.

 

I think the owner for the files has changed in some way...get in touch with your host.

 

No is a pay host .I try to changes the permission but don`t works

So I suggest to conact webhost support, but is this your file of was this in the main category already when you logged on ftp ?
