$55 Easy Logo Design Contest (Corporate Style) - 48 Hours - Paypal - Future Work!

The student group is called: ASCA (Asper Students Co-operative Association)

-The student group is made up of and represents students who are working for a corporation in their field of study (ex: Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources etc.) while completing their university degree (Bachelor of Commerce).

The logo is for a university student group in the Commerce/Business Faculty. We are therefore looking for something that is "clean and corporate" looking while still being eye catching. Below is the logo for our faculty which our logo should be compatible with:



The logo will be used on Print, Web, Business Cards and Posters. Please make sure is is large enough/scalable.

I will provide feedback throughout the contest on what looks good/what I like.

Hi.
Here's my entry:

I try to avoid the outdated web 2.0 look to achieve more corporate look for the logo design and also to avoid printing issue. The red color can be change to any pantone color you prefer.
The logo is based on some elements of the logo posted.
Will appreciate a feedback, thanks!

Wow! Some great designs! Excited with all of the submissions so far!

Feedback:

1) I do not like the Web 2.0 Style (this includes, mozza1321, good designer, Animman). It looks very "toyish", glossy and does not capture the corporate feel that I am going for. Could you please resubmit something that falls more along those lines if you would like to stay considered?

2) enjon: I'm sorry, but I do not like your designs. Not the look we are going for. Thanks for the submission!

3) I don't want something "too similar" to the sample logo I posted in the first post. tojinilkumar, uanl_82, jhaye, metalbehemoth, maestria could you maybe try something else not necessarily in a circle? Something still compatible but not too close.

4) Synchaos: I like your logos the best. Captures what we are going for very well! Could you maybe do up one more style? I like the text layout, color, font etc just maybe try a different graphic style? Top notch!
