55 backlinks in 4 days? don't worry about it... SE's will not find them all at once thus you'll be fine, especially if you keep on building links like this over, say, 6 months.
55 Links wouldnt blast your site. Once google indexed them, they are far away from any PR If it would harm you, what would that mean: you could buy a footer-Link from a high-PR-Site and point it to your competitor...

The site may have a PR of 7 but the inner pages dont generally have such a high PR... so you dont need to worry...
But the thing here is, the site for which I developed 55 links in 4 days, was having no backlinks at all for a long long time. So is that going to raise the alarms in the Google Police Station? I know, if you have been consistent in developing 100 links a day, then there won't be any harm, but my case is different. The site was not having any backlink since long.
building backlinks very fast could be dangerous. As google sometimes penalise for making backlinks too fast.
