eBay Style Feedback For Buy/Sell/Trade

Okay, I went ahead and implemented iTrader for the Buy/Sell/Trade forums. When you post in one of those forums, people can see your trader rating (it also shows when looking at a user's profile).

You can also leave feedback (good or bad) for people that you have done business with.

Excellent move.I'm always wary of just using rep as a measure of a good service.Thanks.:)

You should get rid of the "Additional comments:" box, or at least not make it neccessary to leave a comment there if you don't need to

This is excellent! Thanks Shawn!! Thanks for the xxx days old mod too! I loved DP before and now I love it even more :)

Just noticed that under deal thread next to required you have an example url. You should change it from "site.com" to DigitalPoint.com

And allow more then 3 ratings per day. I've got alot of good ratings to hand out from past deal's to very deserving members :)

Shawn, does the person you are giving feedback to get a PM about it?

    Done.

"New Traders" are members with a score under 5. Once you aren't a new trader any longer, you can give out as many as you want.

But I just temporarily changed that so people can retroactively give trader ratings since the whole system is new. In a day or two, I'll revert it back to 3 for "New Traders".

    No, they don't.

    Great move! :)

It is a good way to determine the reputation of the buyer/seller.

Why not? Most of the forums that use this do. Whenever you give feedback to someone he gets an automatic PM telling him about it and asking him to rate you back.

Yeah, Namepros and DNforum use this same hack (or at least an almost identical one) and it sends an automatic Pm to the user being rated

Oh wait... nevermind. I just looked in the source code, and it looks like it *is* sending a PM to the rated user. It's just not an option (it always happens apparently).

Not really a big deal but I just noticed that when you add a rating it will send a pm. This pm will add to your unconfirmed message receipts. Just wanted to let you know.
