*Opsy This was posted earlier in the wrong section* ------------------------------------------------------------------------ I run a highly trafficked website for watching live tv stations and listening to music. For last month I had 16,020 clicks for a page impression of 530,000. But what is really sad is that my page eCMP is only $1 ... In one of live chat radio sessions with Shoemoney.com founder Jeremy Shoemoney, I addressed the problem of low eCPM and Jensense.com blogger, Jennifer was there to address this question too. Unfortunately, my display driver on vista froze and I never heard their reply. Can someone know or suggest ways that I could improve the eCMP from $1 to a higher figure?.... I have noticed that small differences in eCMP can dramatically effect my earning. If i Had 16,020 clicks for a eCMP of $2 or $3 ... my earnings would increase by another thousand.... Also whenever I put Cpxinteractive popup or popunder in my pages (1 pop/user) my eCMP further goes down.... is google being mean? Thanks for comments...
If you have that high traffic why don't you add affiliate. You may have to do some experiment with affiliate programs to find the right one; but earnings would be more for sure.
Do you mean eCPM, isn't this just the amount you recieve per thousand impressions? Adsense doesn't pay much for impressions as far as i can remember. However you say your page has a eCPM of $1, maybe you should set up different channels, so that you can see if different ads give out a higher eCPM, however these ads may also pay less per click so its a win lose situation. Also your niche is low-paying, so you need to adjust ad-targeting maybe but this may result in a reduction of clicks. However you never mentioned that anything in relation to click prices.
You should try some banner ad instead of AdSense. With that many clicks you should earn nice cash. Whats your website and where is your traffic coming from? Which countries? You should target some banner ads that also work international.
You are putting a popup/popunder on a page which has Adsense ads? Remove it fast before you loose your account as this is against Adsense TOS!
I'd like to know your site to. And yes remove that popup You can just break a deal with some private companies for adspace
In 2007 Google changed their Policy ... You can now advertise just about anything along side Google adsense, As long as you make it obvious that its not Google adsense or a Google 'product'.
I had experimented with 1. Azoogle ads 2. CJ 3. Doubleclick Performics 4. ebay Partner Network 5. Amazon Affiliate 6. Etc... The best in the above list for my niche has been Amazon ...
I am cognizant of the fact that google doesnt pay for impression. But eCPM is a good way to estimate the quality of ads that are being shown on your site. I have seen people with a few hundred clicks, a few thousand impressions but a eCPM of $20 or $30 dollars !!! If i ever get a eCPM of that high, I can easily make $10K/month. But my low $1 eCPM yields only $1k/month.
they require webmaster to have 500,000 hits per month to apply, apparently you seem to be a very good qualifier, and you can join those premium ad services...
Check how many ads are being displayed on one page. The more the ads the less the eCPM. Yesterday I removed one ad from one of my website and the eCPM went from $0.75 to $2. It also depends on the kind of ad you are displaying and its placing.
Ringtones and some software download... I hear such great things from azoogle and i still havnt made a penny off them :-(
Webpages containing AdSense code may not be loaded by any software that can trigger pop-ups, redirect users to unwanted websites, modify browser settings, or otherwise interfere with site navigation. It is your responsibility to ensure that no ad network or affiliate uses such methods to direct traffic to pages that contain your AdSense code. https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=48182&topic=8423 Best bet would be to ask adsense support just to be on the safe side.
