Is there something I am missing? 5100 impressions and 176 clicks on my affiliates in March alone and not one single sale. Using a large amount of multiple products. I must be doing something wrong. Any ideas? Thanks!
Yeah we really need to know what it is that you are doing before we can tell you what you are doing wrong. Any information such as like jax said, your website, where / how you are promoting, what your ads say (if you are using ppc) etc.
176 clicks over multiple products, and no sales - that's probably just untargeted traffic. What kind of site do you run, and what advertisers/products do you promote? Can we see an example of your site & ad placement?
My aff links are spread out over a few websites, blogs, lens, articles etc. Just thought it was odd no sales from all those looks and wondered what others were getting as far as ratio. Must be SEO or I am thinking the numbers would be amazing. Following some of the others here after asking this question, I should be getting tons of sales with those numbers. This is also with 5 different affiliates. A large variety through many different affiliates. I am changing every single link and banner to see what happens.
If something makes you good, I am on the same boat, clicks and no sales. Heck, even in Clickbank I would get a sale with those clicks.
I wouldn't stress to bad, your numbers are LOW, lets compare you have multiple sites and your imp. are around 5200 clicks are 167 and 0 sales. I have one site that brings me over 250000 imp 3000c clicks 250 sales or so. Just need to focus on one site a time my friend. Thats what I was doing every thing half @zs get targeted visitors have great content u should be fine.
Thank you for the positive post. I am still very much new to this but I am learning fast, I think my problem was not focusing one on project at a time and not hitting the targeted people with the right product. Have done some switching around and more social stuff and see some higher clicks already. Also, as a test I signed up with google adwords and see a huge difference in impressions, clicks and traffic staying on sites longer. And yes, I agree content is king, now I am focusing on how to build links to the websites I do have and use all the lenses, articles etc as links also. Still learning but really appreciate all the input. Dang people this stuff is addicting!
Yeah, I was kinda intrigued you were stressing over these low #s. My site (map site below) had 5k impressions and 120 clicks for this month, no sales. In fact I have never had a CJ sale in the yr Ive been subscribed. But I think that has to do with the market: something for free - so if they don't find it on the site, maybe they feel OK I will buy it. Maybe this is a big waste of time since in reality these ppl do not have their wallets half way out.
Stressing? I do not stress. It is never worth it to stress over something you enjoy doing and learning about. Once you start to become stressed you might as well quit as you do not have what it takes to do this. If you did not have a sale in over a year then you are in deep trouble. I had a sale my very first week of aff marketing probably by accident, but I will not wait 1 year that is for sure. I now belong to 7 different aff programs and I know the sales are out there, just matching everything up to the target market. If there was no money in this not one of these people here and every were else would be even wasting their time. Besides, 3 of the 7 affiliates I belong to are either in the Fortune 500 now or have won other awards etc. They are making money because good aff. marketers such as the ones on here are making them money therefore making money on their own. If I had to wait a year, and believe me I would not waste my time if I could not figure out how to make money with it within a couple months, I would quit. It would not be something I should be doing if you made no money in 1 year. I made 31.00 bucks last payout on a silly Squidoo Lens, actually a stupid lens that I laugh at when I read it, it was my first lens and it is "horrible" so I know the money it there, its just learning and taking action on the advice of others who were nice enough to help. No stress here, just willing to work at it to become successful and make some money along the way. I have nothing but time on my hands, retired with great income and looking for something I can learn and enjoy doing and get paid alittle for it. Once it becomes a job I will no longer be doing it.
I find it really tough to make money thru CPA networks recently i joined DGMpro..but conversions were bad so i returned to CPC.
My website and the items were 100% related. Changed to 75/25 and now getting more action and more clicks. In fact, they are clicking on the non related links more then the related.
Of course. You should do that to make sure your customer will choice product you promote on your website.
