I run a tech blog site (raymond.cc) with 50,000 unique visitors daily. There's 2 category, the blog and forum. My site blog's PR used to be 5, dropped to 4. As for forum, it is has been PR2 and google indexes every post pretty fast. Then I changed the forum script from punBB to vBulletin and caused a lot of dead links and after a few days the blog PR dropped to 2 and has been stagnant since. As for the forum PR, dropped to 0. Any advice?
but u need to keep post or page it is which is already index in database and listed in google, having pr and rank
yah i agree nowadays PR is sometimes useless... the most important thing is you got quality and unique visitor everyday... right?
See PR doesn't matter nowdays. As you are getting a lot lot of traffic (50K per day is really high traffic), that means your forum posts and blog posts get great SERP in google so you need not worry about the PR as your asset is your Traffic and that is because of great SERP not because of PR.
I think there's no direct correlation between traffic unique visits and page rank but your traffic is good enough.
people always concentrate on pr, its not the be all and end all in seo. if your site is relevant, and you have relevant links, then you have nothing at all to worry about. PR is over rated and im pretty sure, will soon be a thing of the past
if you're getting 50k UV, like everyone above has said, don't worry about PR. However, if you're search engine ranking is decreasing also, then make sure you update your content on any static pages.
good to see that ur site is having around 50000 uniques a day...why not share some tips here too...!!!
Well I am very satisfied with my current web statistics except that it'd be nice to have higher PR ranking since some of the advertiser thinks that it is important.
if you want hig PR then purchase some links from higer pr pages. ok. but i also agree with other members here that if you got 50k visitors daily ,dont worry about PR it is useless, just enjoy traffic
It really all depends on what you are trying to sale from your site. People look to buy links from high PR sites because it can help their ranking and PR of their own site. Now if you are selling links or ads on your site for people who are not looking for PR juice and are looking for actual traffic and conversions then you have more than enough traffic to sale some high priced ads and links.
