Hi guys, is there a way to identify PSUs which has the 8-pin 12v CPU connector like this one? http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/eps.jpg 'coz i recently bought a gigabyte amd M/B and it has this 8-pin connector instead of a 4-pin socket. Got a Athlon II X4 proc along with it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16813128394 I checked it out whether its suitable to connect the regular 4-pin connector to that 8-pin socket... but it seems it might affect the cpu adversely when running on full load. so i need to buy a PSU which has this 8-pin connector. I'm compelled to buy online 'coz such PSUs arent available in PC shops around the place i'm staying. To make my search easier in getting the right PSU is there a way of identifying a PSU with a 8-pin CPU connector from a regular 4-pin one? If so please give your suggesstions.. Would really appreciate it Thanks in advance....
