~500 USD to Spend for Paid Directories

I will be running a little test, so don't want to waste thousands of dollars just to see how it works, so my budget goes with 500 USD. I prefer one time fee, basically I want traffic and PR (prefer pr more than traffic).

    So here's my list.

    Botw - 239.95 USD/one time fee
    Business Dir - 200 USD/year
    Stpt.com - 99 USD/year

    539 USD total.

Anyone wants to suggest a different list maybe (paid only)?

Vegabond is right. But what are looking to do with your budget? Brand awareness or PR building? Once you determine that, you can buy accordingly :)

Romow Web Directory is the best to consider. :)

Page Rank > Page Strength > Traffic > SERPS

Value for the money you'll spend.

    Thanks

I would consider the smaller directories with a $500 budget. The above directories are a great place to start.

    Also consider our Business Directory.
We offer deep links and a detailed business profile for your listing. Live Help is available if you have any questions.

    PR6 Dream Web Directory

Six months ago I did similar test and spent $2,000 submitting two sites to directories.
I have seen dramatic increase in traffic and search engine rankings and I made a post about that back in March, I believe.
But I would NOT recommend you to spend 239.95 USD for BOTW or anything close to that. There are many quality directories charging far less than that. You are pretty much paying extra because they spend heavily on advertising, but this does not give more value to your listing.
I have had several sponsored links in BOTW in top categories and never received any traffic, just a few clicks.

I am not looking for something lower than PR6, so please don't *post* your low page rank directories (as I want HQ, PR only)

Red_Virus, how can your new directory increase my PageRank if it's pr is 0? Please don't post your directories if they dont have pr6, I dont mind paying, but only for good and quality directories.

Velocity, thanks, you are right :)

I think submitting to Aviva, Alive, 2yi, Romow, eWebPages and biz-dir.co.uk would be a better choice.

I would spread your budget across quality directories that DP memebers own.

Are you making sure that the PR 6 directories that you submit to actually have PR on their category pages or where your link will show up because if they dont, then you are getting nothing. Just a little reminder!

I would suggest sticking to as many on Aviva Directorys strongest list.

I would also plug my two directorys which are both on the list www.Map100.com which has a Page Strength of 6.5 and www.eBusiness-Directory.com which has a Page Strength of 5 , both are also google PR 5 and represent great value at just $10.95 and $19.99 for a permanent listing.
