500 is easy for a good black-hatter but I can't imagine anybody creating 500 high quality, legit sites.
Great answer. For me this is the most important factor. My blog is made for users, not for adsense. I'd rather have people enjoy the content rather than making $0.01 a day. lol
I suggest to try it first yourself. Maybe try a smaller number like 20 or 50. It really depends on you and your lifestyle. You'll definitely get different responses here..
only way you could do it is to update and such 500 auto blogs but to buy 500 domains even .infos thats a hell of alot of money! say the infos are 1.99$ thats still $1000. if you invested that 1000$ you would have a site making 4$ a day =)
I've thought about this before, and here's an example (with only 50 sites, not 500): $10 a domain per year x 50 = $500 in costs $50 a (cheap) hosting package per year x 50 = $2500 in costs Total annual costs are $3000 a year... ------ $1 a day with AdSense x 365 days a year = $365 $365 a year per site x 50 sites = $18250 in profit So...$18250 minus $3000 = $15250 a year in profit Am I missing something here - this seems like a great plan? Of course, the sites would be MFA blogs with ghost articles on the usual stuff, but $1 a day can't be too hard with little promotion/advertisement .
daveMc - you can get a cheap dedicated server for less than $100, so that lowers your hosting costs by at least 50% also, you can get some .infos for $1.99 (godaddy?) - so thats your domain costs slashed by 80% first year cost = $1300, breakeven @ 8c per domain per day.. if you do decide to go ahead, keep us updated
That is very interesting to know, thank you (sorry for screwing up your thread jdmeg6). So here is the revised plan with the whole 500 domains: $1.99 a domain per year x 500 = $995 in costs Let's say with 500 sites you need some fancy hosting - $300 a dedicated server per year = $300 in costs Total annual costs are $1295 a year... ------ $1 a day with AdSense x 365 days a year = $365 $365 a year per site x 500 sites = $182500 in profit So...$182500 minus $1295 = $181205 a year in profit $0.007095 etc...a day per site to break even! It's really worth thinking about...maybe I should try it?
theres alot of people who do this have you guys ever read this http://jahmoney.com/recommended/Earn_100$_per_%20day_With_Automated_Blogs_setup_guide.pdf then just add your google ads around the page sit back and wait
I'd say the answer is not 500 sites or 1 site, but somewhere in between. At say 30 sites, you'd still be able to manage the site and provide some unique content and possibly become an established player in that niche. With one site, you're setting yourself up for failure. What if someone decides to sabotage that domain name and is successful? Your one large site will suddenly have low SE rankings and little traffic. At 500 sites, you're really just scraping content, and most search engines can now figure that out.
i had found some one who doing this thing, he have a site maybe more than that amounts. He was webmaster who hired more persons to doing a lot of site for him according to his selected niche... currently, this month he will resign from his daily job after a long time hard work..
I've got simple plan and I keep doing it - 100 websites 1$ each, that's all i need to be satisfacted. Right now i have about 20 x 1$ websites and some earning more I believe that's easy to get traffic because when Google doesn't like, MSN does, if I'm not ranked well at MSN and Google, here comes Yahoo to help me It's simple - web directories, websites with some non-refreshing content, for example websites with flash games, if you build database with 2k games, there's no need to update it every month. if there's 100 websites 1$ each, you get 100 $ per day, brilliant, if there's a good day and they make 1.5 $ each (or 1$, 3$, 1.2$ and so on) you get 150 $ ! That's my dream
If you have one or two websites you are a website owner. And one great website or two can make a lot of money! If you have 10 or more websites you are a website publisher. And 10 or more "mediocre" websites can still generate a good daily revenue. I am a website publisher, slowly adding new websites as my first ones mature into unique content sites. I write a new article or update a different website or two everyday. I think of myself as a magazine publisher online with lots of titles. Some are higher quality than others, I admit, the sites whose subjects are my passion, but all of them get a little attention here and there. Will I have 500 sites one day? - it is not impossible. I have a lot of sites waiting in the wings for me to put online. If you are a good writer or editor a lot of sites can be handled. If you are a good coder then you can probably make one or two dynamite sites.
How do you plan to promote 500 sites? To get $2/day, you need 100-200 uniuqes per day depending upon your niche. What would be your traffic source?
