The cost of running the website is a shared hosting account cost of around $10 a month from hostgator.

I must say though, this site does require attention as users are submitting their own content, I have just installed a new forum which is bridged to the website, so if someone signs up on the website they will also be registered on the SMF based forum.

The autoresponder has a tracking feature to check how many people opened the emails and many other brilliant plugins which I have paid for. The website has cost me around $2000 in development and has served me well! Most of the money from the site is made from promotions though, so you must send out emails, promote posts and so on, otherwise the site wont succeed.

Remember, the adsense fees are not passive they come and go dependant on how well you market your posts. You must market them everyday to get people to view the posts and want to click your ads. The main bulk of money will be made via clickbank, do not rely on adsense, some days you may only make $1.00.

Clickbank is the way with this site, but you need to drive visitors to the website, limited SEO has been done on the site, so there is huge room for improvement on signup numbers to the newsletter!

I never done formal SEO and marketing of the website, I have just made promotions and so on to attract visitors, but it still gains steady income from google indexing pages along with yahoo and bing.

So basically there is potential to easy triple your income on this website.

i dont see the 500$ you mentioned above..do you manually approve the articles or spammers are in control there?

 

All articles are manually approved, shown as pending in the wordpress admin panel. I will also note this site is easy to adapt as it is run via the wordpress software.

Here are a few signup stats to the newsletter, 7 people registered in the last two days and its only 1pm here today, that number should rise to around 14, 87 have registered this month, thats 10 a day on average.

The website is expanding rapidly. The Alexa is now 133k, it has dropped 10k in 3 days, which is brilliant. In two weeks it should be in the top 100k websites!

Take a look at the traffic ranking, it ranked in the top 30k on the 7th for traffic!
