so, I ran into a few sites using live face models doing advertisements. I liked the look, so I checked it out. Came across livefaceonweb.com (I have no association) It's a little under $500 for a 30 second script (kinda expensive) but they actually book the model and make a professional presentation.. So I ordered one.. Should have it up late this week, and I can't wait to test the performance.. It's going to go straight on my sales site in my signature. Sofar I know, audio alone, works OK, Personal unprofessional video pulls nice sales, so now I'm going for the gold and doing professional model video presentation.. If anyone's interested, I will post results as they come in
It'll be interesting to learn how your results pan out. I haven't the slightest clue as to how such features might affect conversions. Although a little costly, it might be worth it.
Well, the presentation is done, and I just added it to the store.. The turn around time was great, and I got what I asked for.. I think the actor could have done a little better, It kinda looks like she's reading a script, and she messed up 1 word. She said "a" instead of "the", but I don't think most people will notice it. Not sure if it will drastically help, but it can't hurt. Time will tell
I would be interested to see how how/if a professional vid like that outpulls a regular camtasia-style one in terms of overall conversions, or opt-ins if that's what you're going with. Let us know with your results! -T

$500 is quite an investment but the live model looks pretty impressive. Now I'm seriously doing one myself..
I don't know if this should be a concern or not, but when I refresh the page she does NOT come back on, if I exit the page and come back later ,she still Does NOT come back on I have to clear my cookies before she will come back on Just thought you might want to know
The movie comes with a full array of options for display, frequency, etc. I have it set to only play once per visitor per day. (24 hour cookie I think) Since she is on every page of the store, I don't want to annoy people that click page to page with the same speech. Too early to make predictions, especially from the holiday, but sofar I can say the movie isn't hurting sales..
i've been looking around for an alternative service for really long time after i was disappointed by the prices that rovion offers and their product is crap. Even though livefaceonweb has really good system and price, i found videopilot360 alot better, they shoot the video on high defination plus their backend system looks very strong and promising. i think i will be getting one done in jan or feb after i have some money to afford it.
Yes i'm interested in knowing to. Though the way it's done is fairly disappointing,especially when you look at the one shown on their site. Though I know from experience that these sorts of things really do get attention from users.
I think it had a positive effect. Nothing else really changed, and sales are definitely up. The last 2 weeks in November were my highest earnings in all time, and even though December is Holiday time, sales are still decent and may match last pay period (or come real close). There is no exact way to measure it I guess, but If I had to make the decision again, I would still have done it.. In one month I easily saw an extra $500 but can not be certain it was directly and all from the VID, but I'm sure it helped/
If I made my own video with a transparent background, how could I get it to show on the site like that? p.s. - I use wordpress for my site.
